Friendship boats from Boardwalk to Epcot and Studios

Hi All,
Does anyone know if they are up and running again? We are checking in to BWV on Oct 28, I'm really hoping the boat transportation will be available. We are able to walk from Epcot of course, but we both have some joint problems and I don't think it will be an easy walk from the Studios.

They were running when we were there in late September.

The Friendship Boats were only down for less than a day, after Irma, while they removed limbs and a downed tree along the walkway to DHS.

Thanks, I thought it was major work but nothing else had been said about it. I 22 days I'll be in my happy place.

A Friendship boat captain told me that after a bad storm that raises the water level too much they can shut down the Friendship boats because of bridge clearance. There is a dam that maintains the water level but after a lot of rain it can sometimes take a day or two for the water to subside.
