Hi Cassey, thanks for coming over to visitLove the picture of you and Megan. I had to pop over and read your TR after seeing the layouts you have been posting. Glad you enjoyed the trip and can't wait to see and hear the rest!
Cassey
Hi dear friend, as you know, the DIS ate my last post with the tribute to Jim and I have no other excuse for not signing in over here recently.
You are really cranking out this TR and I am LOVING IT!!! The picture of you and Megan really hit me hard because I was thinking the same thing you posted about Jim not being there. I actually could see him right there in the middle with you all.I am sorry you have to have far to many firsts without him. I don't even want to imagine what that feels like my brave friend.
Seems like you all had some grumps on the trip...and I am NOT talking about your family! What is up with staff not going out of their way to treat you all well???
(I have wanted to use that since Andrea posted it on our TR)!
Enjoy your laundry/PJ day!!!
I LOVE the latest update, those pics are GORGEOUS!!!! AWESOME job capturing the trip and I am happy you could feel Jim near. As always, loved your tribute in the sand.I am also happy you reported the Grumpy's to the right people...
Hi Lisa, First off, I want to thank you for your condolences for Billy's sister.
I finally got a chance to go back and read and look at all your pictures of your cruise around the Hawaiian islands! How nice of your mom to treat the whole family to this wonderful cruise. Love seeing the tribute in sand that you and Megan do for Jim so he's a part of your trips!
Seeing all your pictures reminds me of the trip I took with my sister about 30 years ago and did the 4 island tour. We flew to each island and rented a car. My favorite island was Kauai because of all the beautiful flowers and they had the mini looking Grand Canyon (forgot the name). Got to go to a luau too and didn't like the poi either! When we stayed in Hilo, we had a visitor in our room that scared us! We saw something run up the wall and hide behind a picture. We didn't know what it was and called the front desk. Someone came to the room and told us that the geekos where everywhere and that they wouldn't hurt us. We made sure we always closed up our luggage when we needed to get something out. We didn't want to bring home one of those.
Glad you and Megan had a wonderful time and hope you get to go back and do more of a land tour too.
All caught up my friend! I guess you wouldn't respond to my text message so I would have to stop here. Love all the Hawai'i updates. Stopped on the side of the road years ago to take a picture of the sign for the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Farm.
Especially love the Pearl Harbor pics. We did a cruise of the harbor that went very close to the Arizona Memorial, but did not get the chance to go on it. Wish we had done that one! Very special to me too since my Dad served in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII. His ship was anchored in Tokyo Bay also when the Surrender was signed on the Missouri.
I have to catch up yet, but the pictures i saw are BEAUTIFUL!! YOu always take the best photos. SO jealous. Can't wait to get a few minutes to go back and catch up!
OK - the photos of Pearl Harbor just give me the chills...
I really want the ship infor from you - as this is a trip I would love to take with the girls and Josh some day... Pearl Harbor just moves me, and I can't imagine how emotional I would be actually standing there. Thank you for all the wonderful pictures you shared, they are truly beautiful!
And Megan looks so cute on Easter! I am so glad you got a good trip!
D~
Lisa, I am trying to catch up on your TR. For some reason most of the pictures are showing up as a red x. But the ones I can see are fabulous!
As a reader and friend I can sense Jim's presence with you also. Your tributes are very touching.
I recognize the Star Wars lego swim trunks. My son use to have them too!
The Mariott looks like a beautiful resort! Nice BIG Koi pond too.
All the Laua and Pearl Harbor pics are red x's to me, but I'm sure they are great! Funny about the Rollers, never heard a hot dog called that.
Glad the Bunny made it to your house too!
