Wednesday 6th November
We woke up this morning to a spectacular blue sky, with not a single cloud. Our plan today was to do Epcot, from open to close, taking in as many of the Food & Wine Festival booths as possible.
It is a very pleasant walk from The Swan to Epcot. First we crossed over the bridge towards the Boardwalk.

At the entrance to the Boardwalk, Gary and I had a brief debate about which way was quickest/shortest. I believed that the shortest route was along the Boardwalk, whereas Gary felt it was past the Yacht and Beach Club resorts. Since we couldnt agree, we parted ways Gary went his way and me and the kids went mine.

The Boardwalk was busier than I expected it to be, but many of the people out were walking or jogging with no real purpose. We stopped to take lots of photos, it was so lovely.

As we crossed the bridge at the end of the Boardwalk, we could see Gary approaching from the left. Of course, he was now convinced that his way was quicker and refused to believe that I had actually stopped several times to take pictures.
We entered the park through the International Gateway and turned left to wander through the (practically empty) United Kingdom.

Our approach is (or should I say was, since FP+ has changed all that) always the same at Epcot Future World. Get a FP for Soarin, ride Soarin, have breakfast at Sunshine Seasons, ride Soarin with the FP, then head over and get a FP for Test Track. Ride Mission:Space, then ride Test Track. Occasionally, we will mix it up a little by throwing in a brief visit to see Crush, Nemo or Figment but most of the time that is our MO. This morning we did change things up as the return time we got for Soarin was a little further out than we would have liked.
So, our morning went something like this. Get FPs for Soarin, ride Soarin, ride Mission:Space, get FPs for Test Track, have pictures with characters, eat breakfast, ride Test Track.
And this is what it looked like.

Breakfast was pretty good. We split a lemon cupcake and a red velvet whoopie pie between us, since we wanted to save room for the F&WF snacks later. I wasnt keen on the whoopie pie but the cupcake was delicious very light and lemony without being too sweet.
This was our first experience with Test Track since the changes and we loved the addition of the design station. Sian and I designed one car and Gary and Daniel another ours was the purple, theirs the blue. Their car kicked our cars butt!

After Test Track, we did the usual of admiring all the shiny new cars we havent got a cat in hells chance of ever being able to afford. Daniel took a fancy to a big beast of a car but Gary wasnt too keen on being a passenger.

As we came out of Test Track, we noticed it had clouded over a little, which was a bit disappointing. We were just hoping it wasnt going to rain. Daniel was thirsty so got a frozen raspberry lemonade. It was a bit sweet for me. I used to love these but it appears that Disney have changed their supplier and they are not as nice now, too sweet and fizzy.

We walked up to World Showcase, past the cranberry bog where the lovely lady (Jean, I believe her name was) posed for a picture.

We got our free craisins ugh!
On entering World Showcase, we decided to go round anti-clockwise. I remember reading once that most people go clockwise, although Im really not sure thats the case any more. The whole place was pretty busy.
Our first booth was the Desserts and Champagne Booth, where we had a Morello Cherry Pistachio Mousse and a Frozen Smores.

Gary was the only one who liked the mousse so he got this all to himself anyone sensing a pattern? The three of us shared the smores. They were OK but not worth the calories, in my opinion. Daniel loved them though and wanted to get another until I persuaded him he needed to save the stomach space for the other goodies to come.
