Friend in trouble

Someone dear to me called me to tell me she found a gift bag filled with her husbands' favorite team stuff (deck of cards, plush stockings for Christmas hanging) and a bottle of wine. The gift tag on the package read "To: Us From: Me with a smiley face.

She asked me what I think? I don't know what to say......

What do you think?

I hope it is a gift from the husband to your friend. My question would be why would a girlfriend give a man Christmas stockings to take home? Did she find this bag at home or in his car or somewhere else?

I think she needs to be cautious until she can find some answers.

Ok, that's a little odd. But it may not neccessarily be what she's thinking. Only way to find out is to ask her hubby. Better to find out asap. And if she has reason to doubt the answer she can always hire a P.I. to check up on him.

As far as I know, she found this in her garage amongst some stuff in an open area. She was cleaning out the Christmas stuff and saw the package. She put everything in the bag into her home. The stuff was a deck of Yankee cards, a deck of cards and two Christmas Stockings with ribbon on them. Nothing intimate ... unless the intimate stuff was taken out of the gift bag???

I would not want to start something, but I don't want her to get hurt later on. What would you do?

I would tell her to take it and ask her husband about it. I wouldn't start yelling accusations, just ask him in a simple manner and talk it over with him.

I would start here... It may be something totally innocent, but she has to talk to her husband to find out.

If it was in the garage then it doesn't sound like the husband cared about the gift especially if the bottle of wine is still there.
The first thing I would have done is ask him. If he has nothing to hide he will tell who the gift came from. It is possible that someone is chasing after him and it is also possible that he has no interest.
