Is there a fridge in rooms at the AKL?

If not - any idea how much per night for one?

When we stayed 3 yrs ago - we had a diabetic in the group & he got one at no charge - but we stayed at Port Orleans

The rooms do not come with a frig. you can request one, which normally would cost $ 10 per day (unless you're staying in concerige-they're free).

I'd suggest you make sure to mention it's for a medical need - there may well be no charge for it in that case.

I have heard that all moderate & deluxe resorts will be putting refrigerators in all rooms permanently. I think they have already started at some resorts. I hope they have them @ the Poly by Oct.

We received a fridge for no charge at recent trip to AKL. They informed us at check-in that fridges are now free to any guest who would like one at any resort (we specifically asked). They told us to call housekeeping who brought one right up to the room, already cold! We were not staying concierge or even deluxe, just a standard room. Hope this info. helps!

They are putting fridges in all the deluxe and moderate resorts, so if you request one it should be free, this just started.
