Friday Night Epcot Question (F&W)

Popular consensus is to avoid Epcot on Friday nights (and weekends) during F&W, but it's also suggested to avoid Epcot on EMH days.

We will be in Disney for 2 days in late October and our options are (1) Friday night at Epcot or (2) EMH night at Epcot.

We will be enjoying F&W during the daytime, but looking for the best nighttime option to experience Epcot at night? We plan to go on some rides (Soarin', TT) and perhaps walk around WS and watch Illuminations.

What's our best option?

We only avoid WS on Sat during F&W, Fri nights will be more crowded than a weekday evening but not overly so and we're no fans of crowds. I've never noticed any effect caused by EMH in WS, I'm sure FW is impacted. I've read here that Living with the Land is very interesting after dark so we plan on doing that shortly.

Friday nights tend to be a lot more crowded with a lot of locals attending the F&W festival. There have been reports in the past of a little too much intake of the Wine part of the festival on these crowded nights.... Probably just more noticable because there are more people. EMH will also be busy but I dont think as much as a Friday night.

I've been to F&W on a Friday night and while, yes, it was a little more crowded it wasn't horrible. I've been to all the parks on EMH nights and again, it's not horrible. I'd go whichever night you want to and enjoy, if it gets too crowded, just grab and seat and watch the fun.
