Has anyone eaten at this CS? The new menu looks yummy! Freshly made potato chips with toppings sounds amazing :)

I wonder if you can get them as a side in the DP if you buy the chicken ceasar salad.

Anyone know? Thanks!

I just saw that and said I should check out the Dis and see if anyone has posted a picture of the fresh potato chips with all the fixings!

Oooh - sounds yummy! I can't wait to hear reviews!

16 more days!!!!!

Found this as of July 2010. It wasn't a SC then. :(

The chips alone will cost $2.99, but also are offered topped with cheese, bacon and a side of ranch for $4.49 or topped with chili and cheese for $4.99. This item is definitely a great addition to the already delicious menu available for princesses and princes.

The Friar’s Nook full menu is below:
Chili-cheese dog with fries
Freshly made potato chips, plain, with cheese, bacon and ranch, or with cheese and chili
Caesar salad with chicken
Fries, plain or with chili and cheese
Carrot cake (Disney Dining Plan (DDP) snack)
Apple and caramel dippers (DDP snack)
Soft drinks (DDP snack): Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Minute Maid light lemonade, Fanta orange, Nestea iced tea
Smart water or Dasani bottled water(DDP snack)
Frozen slush
Minute Maid apple or orange juice (DDP snack)
Whole or Nesquick chocolate milk (DDP snack)
Soy milk (DDP snack): regular or chocolate
Milk
Coffee (DDP snack)
Hot tea or Nestle hot cocoa (DDP snack)

Thanks CSMommy! Maybe something has changed?? I hope someone visits before May...lol. If not I'll be the guinea pig ;)

Prince or Princess?? What about the King and Queen these sound really good.

We wanted to go try the chips in October, but the place never opened up. :(

Anyone seen them open lately?

We were there in December and it wasn't open then either. Anyone been there since?

Just interested in homemade potato chips, bet that will be crowded.

I was trying to figure out where the Friar's Nook was since I saw this picture of their freshly made chips

Here was the review on the Disney Food Blog http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2011/...es-at-friars-nook-and-pinocchio-village-haus/

I commented on the DFB that when I went in December, it wasn't open either!

I wonder if its really one of those 'overflow' spots that only opens when the park is packed.

Usually things that can be shared are not offered as snacks. I have a feeling they would not allow this as a snack credit.

OP your salad does not come with a side. DDP or QS DDP or DXDDP--a qs meal is an entree, dessert and drink--if you choose the salad you get the salad, if you choose a hotdog and fries then your also get the fries, etc.

Separately priced sides are not included on the dining plan (only those that are part of a combo meal). Don't know if the chips are offered as a DDP snack credit.

I'm headed down next weekend and I'm planning on trying them out! I've wanted to ever since I saw they opened.

Who said anything about sharing?:rotfl: They better keep their hands off my bacon-y cheesy goodness!!!

They no longer have the toppings. And they acted like they never heard of such a thing.
