The travel channel has a special on right now:

Undiscovered WDW

8:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Go check it out!!!

Make sure to keep an eye out. I met filmers and reporters from The Travel Channel today and they are doing a special on Holidays at WDW that should air sometime soon.

Just got through watching it with DW and DD. Boy, these next 12 days are gonna crawl. I told DW that I wanted to do the RPDE, and to go parasailing with DD6. She about took my head off. Guess that will have to wait a few years... Of course DD was all for it.

Oh darn! I saw the preview for this and forgot about it!! How was it? I hope they show it again! :)

We caught the last 20 minutes of it. I called the boys in to watch it and they had fun. My DS says "been there, done that, did that too"; he was proud to be able to say that.

It was neat to see SpectroMagic, it was cancelled on the nights we went this past summer.

My younger DS(6yo) says it was torture to watch it because now that is all he can think of. He said that we should go back when he is 12. I asked why wait until then, don't you want to go back sooner?. Yeah, then they all get excited about going again, and not having to wait 6 years.

We had to laugh at the CirqueDeSoille part. My DSs say with all the fun stuff do to at WDW why would anyone want to go to that. Than DS says - yeah and it probably costs extra money too!

My boys crack me up!

I loved it! This show was great! When it started I was on the phone with a friend of mine who is at the world now and I asked her not to talk while she was on the bus so that I could hear the bus driver annouce their destination. I got goosebumps. I just can't wait until my next trip!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :::MickeyMo

I loved it and for all that missed the first airing your in luck. Next airing is in about 15 minutes  The holiday one sounds even better. Definetly will make my day to see that one.

You can't beat a tv show about WDW. I just wish they would not have shown that you can watch the fireworks from the California Grill (like there is'nt enough people dining there as it is, LOL) They could of had show that was ten day's long about the unknown parts of WDW, but this was very good. I think I'll have to watch it again at 11:00.

You learn something new everyday. I went into the show thinking " I already know Disneys secrets". But I diden't know about the Grand 1 boat. Curious to know how much that cost??

Mickey_Maniac - Talk about 12 days, try 8 weeks!!!

momxx5 - your boys crack me up too!

and yes MikeWazowski , you can't beat a tv show about WDW!

Hopelessly waiting for the holiday special....

(we have it taped)

My boyfriend has never been to Disney World (I have)

I don't want him to see all these special things on TV for the first time, I want him to experience it for real.
What do you think? Will it take away from his first time experience? or am I just being silly :yo-yo:

It comes on again at 11 am Eastern time this morning.

Wow, what a great show! My husband who hasn't been as enthusiastic as I about our upcoming trip actually called me yesterday afternoon at work to tell me that the show would air that evening. We had plans to do dinner and a movie but he preferred to stay home and watch the Travel Channel.:hyper: I was shocked! Got takeout so I wouldn't have to cook and our family tuned in at 8:00 on the dot. It was great to see my boys so excited, but it was just as thrilling to see my husband really get into the planning for the first time since I booked our trip last December. I think he's finally been bitten by the Disney bug! Now I have to look into the RPDE and parasailing and try to fit that into our itinerary.:p

I have seen the show twice already (yesteday and this morning) and that parasailing looked fantastic. That is one thing I didn't know they had. I wonder how much it cost? Anyone know?

pirate: ::yes::

we are doing the parasailing. I think it is around $80 for one and around $130 for two people to go together. There is a minimum requirement for going solo. There is also a max. for going double of 350 pounds. I suppose that would be a single limit also.

What is RPDE?

how a bunch of grown adult can get so geeked up about a mouse and a park??

Life is good!!!

I didn't know about the surf lessons or the scuba diving.

There were some things I didn't see how they could call "Undiscovered"-- like Fanatsmic? Hello? Don't 10,000 people go every night? But I think it balanced stuff like that with stuff that was really unusual, like Richard Petty or the scuba diving. Overall, it achieved what the planning videos aren't as good at, I think-- showing the world beyond just the park attractions.
