Fresh Out of University and Onwards to Disney!!!An August PTR!!!(Last Update 8/26)

yes!!! we have one computer in the house for four people It can get pretty annoying when we both want to be on at the same time

It was the same for me when I was in highschool and lived at home. My sibs and I shared one computer. We all had our own times to go on, so it was pretty well planned. Not great though, so I understand how you guys feel

You have SO MUCH to pack for! You'll be shipping a lot of stuff down there first right?

So, have you gone through your plans to see if it matches any of mine? I would LOVE to hang out with you. Would Lou be coming too? Or is he only going in November?

I'll be shipping down one box, I think. The rest I am pretty sure will make it on the plane with me (I will only need to pay for one extra bag!)

Hahahaha, silly Lou. Andrew actually once ripped his pants (lord knows how he did it), so he turned the pants into a bag! So resourceful.

Awww, I was really hoping to meet Lou too. Maybe another time! We might even meet at a con. I've been meaning to drive down there for one.

Alright, here are our possible coinciding days (with two younger siblings, this is always subject to change, but here's what is on our itinerary draft):

19th: I think we'll be at Hollywood Studios when you are, since we have dinner there.

20th: Epcot, not where you are.

21st: We'll be at the waterparks and then MK - you aren't sure what you're doing this day, right? (It's my sister's birthday this day, so she gets to decide what we do)

22nd: We're at Downtown Disney and Epcot today, no match.

23rd: We might be at Hollywood Studios the same day again! Haha. We have Lunch with an Imagineer today, and then we go to AK for dinner.

So our best chance to run into each other is at Hollywood Studios... we'll see if it works out!

Chapter 32. 95% done!

So I'm pretty much done all the packing I can do. Man, 6 more days, but it feels less to me...cause I'll be heading back to Toronto tomorrow right after work, and then it will be 4 more days till we leave.

There's only a few things left for me to do:
-cut my bangs
-buy food
-print out flight tickets and make copies of park tickets
-charge Andrew's digicam and pack the charger and wires
-organize trip wallet
-duct tape the suitcases for easy identification

OH YES! My DME tags came in the mail today! My travel agent, Jan from Mouse Fan Travel have been absolutely FABULOUS! She knew I was making a scrapbook of this trip, so she bought me some Disney-trip scrapbook stickers!!

I don't think I would ever plan completely on my own when I have Jan to help me. She dealt with all the phone calls and confirmations and did all of that for me. She fulfilled all my requests with no problems and was able to help me figure out a lot of stuff as I planned this trip. I honestly think more people should use TAs.

It's not about them being able to find you deals you can't find yourselves cause let's face it, there's nothing the DIS doesn't know. But it's all about having someone else there to help you do all the grunt work of planning. Making ADRs, sending in room requests, checking up on your reservation, and anything else you can think of.

I knew we would be receiving those yellow luggage tags. But I didn't know they sent you special ID tags too! Very nice thick ones. I just wrote our info on the back of a blank business card and slipped it into the slot.

USD money looks like monopoly money. Makes sense cause that's what they're modeled after. It's funny that the two Canadian versions of monopoly still have dollar bills. On my last WDW trip, my brother's big ticket purchase was a POTC monopoly game. It's really nice!

Ok, I will post up an overall recap of my trip soon. I know it's been a while since I've really shared the details of my trip.

Oo, right. They probably won't make it to the later one. Even if we meet up for all of two seconds, say hi, and see how the vacation is going, it's still pretty cool! (And get a photo for the trip report, of course!)

jan sounds great! we dont have a travel agent since we just book through dvc and we do adr's on our own but we used one last year and she gave us free suitcases!

Yeah, it's really cool! I love Chinese money. With their $5, $10 and $20 COINS! And a $100 bill is like a $20 for us
