Depending on how many slices you want to make:

1 cup of milk (or 1/2 & 1/2 if you like it really rich)

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

Place all ingredients into a wide shallow dish that will allow you plenty of room to lay down a slice of bread.

Whisk up until thoroughly blended. Keep the whisk handy as you may want to whisk periodically to keep the cinnamon blended.

Dip each slice of bread, 1st on one side then the other very quickly or it will be soggy. Place the dipped bread slice on preheated griddle at 350 slathered in melted butter, or hot (med-high) frying pan with melted butter. (Margarine just takes all the fun out of it hahaha). Cook on each side until browned.

Serve immediately with a dab of butter on each slice, your favorite syrup, or sprinkle with confectionerary sugar. Yummy stuff!

Yeild: 8 - 10 slices depending on how fast you are at dipping the bread!

Also try this with Texas Toast bread & deep fry it! Yummy!
