French schools closed on Wednesdays?

Are schools in France still closed on Wednesdays?

I am planning a one day trip to DLP while I am in Paris and need to decide if I should go wed or thursday?

some, not all, schools close half day on wednesday, i can't say i've ever noticed a big difference though in crowd levels between a wednesday and a thursday.

I don't think there are actually many that do shut these days, they just start stupidly early! We've never noticed increases crowds so I'd say it'll make no difference to your day
