PIXIE DUST OVER DWARVES



Nicholas and I are early risers naturally.
We were both awake and ready while Grammy and Allie were dawdling
and trying to wake up and get ready.
So while they did that, he and I went over to get some coffee and breakfast.

Nice, low-crowds at 6:46 am...


I was happy just getting coffee, but Nicholas had to get some Mickey Waffles and bacon to go with it...


As we sat there, I took a screen shot of our plans for the day...


Surprise.
In case you didn't figure that out, we were heading to the MK

Eventually, Allie and Grammy found their way over to us
and Allie grabbed some Mickey Waffles too but ended up having to scarf them down in a hurry
because by the time her food was ready, we only had 11 minutes to get to the bus stop
or we'd miss the next MK bus...




Luckily, POFQ is so compact that she ate her food and then we walked out to the bus stop
and got there in plenty of time.

Perfect timing...


We unanimously agreed on our first ride...



This is right after they added to new cameras here and we didn't know about them.
We got the most flattering pictures

Allie's and my moms was even better. Can't you just tell how much fun they're having?

And then headed off for an Adventure...

We're much (somewhat?) better when we know where the camera is...

Other than the price tag hanging off, she's totally believable as a Pirate, right?






We headed back to Fantasyland after that because we didn't want to miss our first FP on 7DMT...

Here we goooooo…...

Errrr, what?

Those of you who are paying attention might have noticed that that is definitely not 7DMT.
We were actually heading there when the kids decided they didn't really want to go on
With a little refreshing, we were lucky enough to get a PP FP instead,
which everyone was happy with.
Weird kids.

And then, since we were in Fantasyland anyway...

I think it's so cute when you catch the little doors open

I know some of you will think we're nuts, but we all love this little cruise

Nicholas even got a good-bye...

It was time after that to go to our next FP. Would the kids bail on it again??

PPF is a good replacement for 7DMT in my book!

IASW is a ride I don’t hate can’t say I love it either!

THE GREAT ZIPLOCK BAG CAPER OF 2019



There was not a chance they'd skip out on our next FP...


Space Mountain is literally one of their favorite rides, and may be their favorite in the MK.
Personally, I feel a little banged up after riding, but I'll go once or twice per trip.
Grammy went on with us once in 2010 but would never go again.
She wandered around Tomorrowland or something while we rode.

I still can never figure out where the camera is here...


We caught back up with her after our ride through space and after stopping for a snack,
decided to chill on The People Mover...


I kicked my mom over on her seat so I could get my shoefie…is that what you call it??
Anyway…proof...



Then I sent Mike a pic of his favorite girl.
A selfie of me, of course, I'm sure you're thinking..



Nope.
He loves this girl
He takes millions of pictures of her when we go by
so I had to send him one to assure him his girl was still there and still getting her hair dried

We got to our next FP just at the end of our window.
Thankfully, they still let us on...

I stopped with my mom to use the restroom, and because we were already a little late,
the kids went ahead of us in line with the plan that they would wait for us to catch up to them if we could.
Like I said, the nice CM allowed us on even though we were a couple minutes late.
But by the time we caught up to the kids they were having the dumbest argument about…
of all things…
the stupid Splash Mountain ziplock bag
Nicholas had gotten one and Allie wanted to see it but then Nicholas wanted it back…
I'm not even sure, but it was so ridiculous.
I handed my bag over to Allie to keep the peace and that pretty much ended it
but honestly…what the heck??



One whole day together and they were already annoyed with each other

Eventually, the four of us…me, my mom, and my 8 and 6 year old…
boarded our flume and all was right with the world...



We decided to put Ziplock-gate behind us and try for another FP.

We ended up getting Jungle Cruise and completed our circle and headed back to Adventureland...



See? everyone was back to being happy

It was almost time for lunch at this point which really could explain a LOT!
Nicholas gets HANGRY when he hasn't eaten in a while,
and those 7am Mickey Waffles had completely worn off by now!

We did score one more FP for Pirates again before heading off to lunch.

Haha oh my goodness! She must have super thick hair or something. She's been sitting under that dryer for a LONG time.

Nicholas and I are the same this way! Nathan is learning to just feed me whenever he notices I'm getting particularly cranky. It usually does the trick.

I am NOT an early riser (although I've gotten better with age), but at Disney World I practically leap out of bed each morning. I think it's the best illustration of how much I love Disney!

You had such a productive morning at MK! Although 7DMT grew on me on my last trip, I think I prefer PP, too.

I also secretly enjoy IASM. From the song to the different scenes to the drunken hippo... it always makes me smile.

I was thinking the same thing about the Skyliner!! For some reason, I ride all kinds of crazy rides and the Skyliner scares me and I'm convinced we're going to get on it with people who will do something to get us stuck lol

While on the ride, I was telling Nicholas about The VOID…
All I really knew was that it was virtual reality and had something to do with Star Wars.
He's been a huge SW fan since he's been 5 years old so I figured whatever it was, he would like it.
I also sometimes feel bad when he has to travel with just us girls,
so sometimes I try to throw in stuff he might like to do.
Of course, he said he wanted to do it so we booked it online and then headed there first at DS,
while Grammy Allie hit up some shops.

I won't say too much about it, except that it was really way cooler than I thought it would be…
even for an old mama like myself.
The only negative part was that we were the only two people in our experience
and I think it's really meant for up to 8 people.
There was some stuff that wasn't quite right with just two people,
but overall, a very cool experience.
I would do it again and I think we will when we go next July.

Sounds like so much fun and I think my three would love it!

my 2019 High School Graduate

Did Nicholas graduate this year? My boys graduate in 2020 and I can't believe we will be done with public school.

Before we headed back to POFQ, we hit up Goofy's, which is kind of a tradition for us...

Please keep telling these stories it makes me feel better! Today I had to take Ricky to the mall to a jeweler to figure out his ring size to order his school ring. Yeah he could have gone himself but he's a PITA. Chris needs new sneakers and asked me to,take him so I said he could come with Ricky and I.

With all of these things in mind, we changed our flight from 5 am on April 3rd, to 7:50 pm on April 2nd.

Disney Math (sorta?) at its finest!

The kids ended up being kind of unimpressed with SDD…whomp, whomp.

Noooo! I was a little unimpressed on my first ride when I rode near the front. It's definitely more thrilling in the back!

Finally caught up!

I had a little time to kill and ended up buying a pack of Mystery Pins
and opened them while I was waiting for my DME.
I was very happy with what I ended up with,
although if @Pluto0809 wanted the Pluto pin, I would happily let her have it ...

Pictures like this one remind me why we go and want to go back again and again.
(It also reminds me that there is no replacing a real-life photo pass photographer, but that's a different story )

Caught up. Loved seeing your TSL EMM experience. I had that booked for us, but ended up cancelling it. POFQ looks amazing! I love the boat to Disney Springs. And I totally feel for you on the ziploc bag fight! Mine fight over the stupidest things too and I sometimes am floored by now they will choose to pick at each other over. I may have laughed just a little bit at the story, though
