Around now (two weeks before our trip) I start to get super hungry and begin scouring disneyland menus.:goodvibes I have to plan the meals and snacks out to make sure I get them all in!

Has anyone tried the beef stew in a bread bowl at French Market - is it any good?

I like the beef stew. It had a rich flavor with fairly big chunks of beef and some veggies. The stew portion itself is not very big; maybe a cup or so all total. They add green peas on top for color and it's nice because they aren't mushy.

I wish they carved out a little more of the bread bowl because it is fairly large and soaks up a fair amount of the liquid. I'm not a huge bread fan, so it seems like such a waste to me.

In my past experiences, all the breadbowl soups don't carve out a huge portion for the soup. So if you are not a huge bread person, it is not a good value. If you are are big sourdough bread lover, like me, they are great!

While I can't comment on the stew, I've always asked to have the bread on the side with the bread bowl soups- less waste.

Thank you everyone - the bread bowl is the best part! I'll pencil that one in for elevensies on Wednesday... :)

I'm curious...do they put the item (usually a soup or stew, but I know the Boudin's also serves their salads in bread bowls) in a regular bowl/plate?

From memory last time it was a big cup, made it easy to tear off chunks of bread and dunk them.
