Freeze!!!! News on next Tomorrowland Pin!

THere are rumors on other boards(VMK forums, micechat) that the Orange Tommorrowland Pin will be coming out on Friday! and they are saying this was confirmed by Flamingo. So I dont no what it means but.. you might want to trade yours

I'm not so sure about this myself but i think its just something i should have mentioned

The Orange Tommorrowland pin is i believe Beta and is worth inferno! of course value will go down

Yes. The orange Tomorrowland Retro (8/9) pin is currently one of the most sought after and valuable pins.

I think if it is being released on friday, many people who are currently trading it for certain items (inferno, green flips, etc.) will be bitterly disappointed.

Personally, I'd love to have it released!

I'm sorry but why would they release a pin numbered 8/9 right after a pin labled 3/5? Sounds to me like only the first 5 of the set will be for sale and Fridays will be 4/5 and so on for next week. I think this information is bogus.

It's more speculation. But it's very possible for VMK to sruprise us like that. I think the value of those pins went down even before this...when the rest of Tomorrowland was released. It's a very cool pin, it would be awesome if it was rereleased.

Note that it can currently be won in the host quests as well, where more than a handfull are awareded to players. So it is looking like the value is dropping already.

I have to agree with Carrieberry; it seems unlikely that VMK will break their pattern so suddenly. Also, it seems very unlikely that a host would give out information on upcoming products. I tried asking a few weeks back if they would have anything for St. Patrick's Day, and I got the answer "We cannot say what will be coming out in the future," or something like that. Yes, it would be cool if it came back out, but I'm not holding my breath for VMK. If I did, I'd probably pass out before anything happened.

This tomorrowland pin might still have the same worth and value as inferno because inferno is won like 5 time every staff event. If we buy these pins and then we keep em for a while who ever missed the event and has inferno we could trade them all our pins for it i mean come in.

INFERNO IS NOT WON THAT MUCH ANYMORE. IT IS AT RANDOM FOR THE QUEST AND THERE ARE ONLY 1 OR 2 OUT THERE IN THE HOSTED QUESTS. MANY PEOPLE GOT IT FROM "FINS MAKE A DEAL" AND THAT IS WHEN 5 WERE GIVEN OUT A DAY (PRETTY MUCH). NOW TO CONFIRM SOME THINGS THAT I SEE CAN BE PRETTY FALSE.

- INFERNO IS NOT WON AT EVERY SINGLE HOST GAME.
- ORANGE TOMORROWLAND PIN COMING OUT WOULD NOT MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL BECASUSE IT IS NOT PART OF THE TOMORROWLAND RETRO PIN SET.
- GREEN FLIPS WILL NEVER BE SOLD AGAIN (SAID BY STAFF AND OTHER VMK WORKERS). THEY SAID: "IF WE WEAR IT THEY WILL NOT BE OUT" AND "GREEN FLIPS WILL ONLY BE SOLD *IF* THEY CHANGED THEIR COSTUMES AND THERE ARE NO PLANS FOR THAT HAPPENING.
- STITCH HAT IS STILL PRETTY RARE AND I COULD SAY MORE THAN INFERNO

orange tomorrowland pin first time around was sold when the submarine pin was released (5/5). So thats why the rumors have kicked up. Personally I dont think it will be out again because I noticed its been the main prize in all the host quests lately. Looks like its being treated like the lion, yeti 3/5, grand calif, grand floridian pins at this time.

Of course as well all know... VMK reserves the right to change their minds and do things that don't make sense at a moments notice LOL

I have to agree with krazyluke , staff ussually has no clue if they say it will happen that about gaurantees it won't. They usually do not give direct answers to direct questions like that.

The pin is as pointed out not part of the series they are working on it is more likely we might see the sub pin which is part of the series

The pin is being given out by the fist full if you can "beat the system" in the host quests, because of the system beaters it is pointless to try to play unless you plan to play all night trying to beat your time. Note pins given in staff events often are not sold in stores.

I love how people say things are have more value then inferno. The 8/9 pin, even at its present status should not and ot most, doesnt have the same value as inferno. It is a KNOWN fact that inferno will NEVER be sold, and will be the ultimate prize for some huge staff events, and huge games. All other items are sold at one time or another and will likey be re-sold at some point in the future. The only items that can go 1 for 1 against inferno have long since been re-sold in stores and were originally sold in beta. Green flips might be the only exception to this. They say it will never be sold, but if staff changes their costume to something that was never offered ( just for example a polka dot outfit ) then green flips would be resold. Let me also say when people talk about value, what do they always compare it to? Inferno! Why? Its because it is one of the coolest magics out there, people love it, and it cant be bought. Sure you can trade for it, but you are going to have ot make a 50 to 1 trade. I dont see how people can justify saying that a pin that was sold is worth more then inferno. Sorry.

The value of ANYTHING highly depends on the person who wants it. I would love green flips. To me it has high value. But inferno is simply not a big deal to me...it's not very valuable to me in that sense. If i had it and someone had something of "less value" that I really wanted, I wouldn't mind trading it simply because it's just not that big a thing for me. "Value" is a very relative thing.

I want green flips because they match my hat. I hope that staff changes their uniform to something that says: Staff on it.

Now to the 8/9 pin. I remember the weekend it was sold. It was sold the same weekend (July 16-17) as the Space Suit and Submarine Retro. Most people were too busy playing games for a Space Suit rather than buying pins.

Now to Inferno.....

It has been a dream of mine to get inferno. I want to win it myself rather than trading for it. Trading would take ALL of my stuff and probably some of my stuff in the future. I have been close to winning it, but alas, not close enough.

I think that 8/9 pin is indeed more rare than inferno because, Inferno has been given out for 10 months now.(From June 18 onward) 8/9 pin was sold for two days only. Two days when people were getting suits.
