Freebie thread for the week of 6/25/07

Is this a no-expiration ticket? Have you gotten a chance to look at the fine print yet? I'd be interested in checking this out if it was non-expiry!! Thanks :thumbsup2

I did look today and it expires 12/31/07.

I called the dealership today because I hated the 2 colors they had and asked if they could get me another color and they said they'd try and I could come sign everything today and they'd get it to me in a day or two. Well, sorry, I want it today, so I called another dealership and he said, I'll get you one we have here for the same price, so I went there and got it instead. I hated to do that to the guy that gave me the deal to begin with, but I told them the day I was looking that I didn't like the colors and they didn't even suggest getting it from somewhere else. I know they want to get rid of what they have, but come on! They wouldn't even give me the same deal for a car that was $50 more on the sticker! They said it was because it was built later in the year, so they can't do the same deal. All they had to do was give me that one and they could have made the sale! Drives me nuts!

Hey Thanks!
I keep thinking I should take that out of my siggie but I don't have any other trips to add and everyone else is all about their trips in their signatures, or something Disney at least :rolleyes1

We did have an excellent time. And I think dh is turning into a slowly but surely getting ready to book another trip. He keeps finding all these shows on tv that we watch and we went away for our anniversary last weekend and he was comparing everything at that "resort" to our WDW stay!:rotfl:

Did you know that ADVAIR, while it helps you breathe, causes hunger and weight gain? :scared1: Just wanted to make people aware.

I am a Respiratory Therapist and DS has used this inhaler for 6 years now. It has not caused any weight gain, growth issues or any other side effect. It has greatly changed many peoples lives. The only side effect can be oral thrush, but if you rinse your mouth out after taking it thrush can be prevented.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time. There are just a lot of misconceptions about inhalers. Advair does have a steroid in it, but since it is inhaled there are now systemic effects from it. Hope this helps. I just wouldn't want someone to miss out on improved quality of life due to misinformation.

OK, off my soapbox. It's just hard to see someone struggling to breathe and not be passionate about it.

Have a good day! :goodvibes

I received a Glucerna coupon for $5.00 off and box of Glucerna Cereal - woudl this be of interest to you or do you just want the shakes?

PM me if you want me to mail it to you.

I got your address. I went ahead and ordered the coupon for the shake too - I will send it when I get it.

Thank you for sharing the info. I know Advair has greatly improved my life. I have never felt any side effects from Advair. I used to avoid going many places because I was afraid of having an asthma attack. I am grateful those days are over (or at least greatly decreased). While I know no particular drug is for everyone I also would hate for someone to suffer from lack of information. :) You stand on a very good "soapbox". Stay passionate.

Good to know! I have had people tell me that, because it is a steroid, I will gain weight from using it. But, that didn't make sense to me because I inhale it and then rinse my mouth out with water. Unless I was going to get fat lungs! :confused3 :rotfl: And the Advair does not make me feel dizzy like the Albuterol does.
