Ok, I think I am official a FREAP!!!

I started lurking on this board about 3 weeks ago and I already have a drawer full of stuff:goodvibes .

My DH made fun of me until his 12 contact lense cases came in the mail for him ;).

Thank you all for the great links. I hope I will be able to be a contributing member someday, but I not sure I can measure up to some of you :worship:

Welcome! My sister made fun of me too! I'm a total FREAP! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Thank you. :surfweb: This is actually a great distraction for me right now. I am wired. My DH was cycling yesterday when someone made a left hand turn in front of him. He flew over the hood and landed on his head (thank god for helmets). He was knocked out for 15-20 minutes. Everything is OK - CT scan and x-ray were negative. The guy who hit him was cited, "Failure to yield to a cyclist". Fine of $35.00.:sad2:

Anyhow, I am sitting here in bed watching him breathe and thankful that we still have him with.

Now I must try to sleep...

:scared1: Thank goodness he is OK! Well, goodnight

I bought some certificates from Restaurant.com and the next day I got an email saying the restaurant was no longer participating and I could pick ay other. Well, that's the only place within 20 miles from me so I don't really want another but they won't give me my money back. Thankfully, I only paid $4 for each, so it's not a HUGE deal.

Anyway, first 2 people to pm me will get a code to get a free $25 GC!

Well, it took less than an hour, but they are gone!! Thanks for taking them off my hands!

Aw, that stinks... But yeah, at least you didn't pay a fortune!

Wow, I'm glad he's all right because that sounds like it could have been a lot worse than it ended up being (and as for the other driver..$35 is a joke...I hope he at least put a nice dent in their hood so when they have to call their insurance company they can be embarassed when they describe what happened)

Marking my starting point.....:-)

Hey dlpcarden, can I ask why you are posting to mark your starting point? I am asking for 2 reasons, 1. it takes up posts which would be really long if everyone started doing this and 2. maybe I am missing something...not sure how it "marks" your place...
What I do is read the posts on the thread and then next time, if you click the little blue check mark to the left of the thred name, (I think it says take me to the 1st unread post), it will take you to where you left off on the previous view of the thread.

Maybe some long-term DISers could chime in if I am inccorrect here but I know we don't want threads to grow just by people marking their spot or subscribing, it makes it longer for everyone else and especially if you are subscribed and get email updates...

Just curious????

That's why I turn off email subscriptions because I got close to 300 one day and that was enough for me. I think it may also have to do with the ability to view new posts after your own and that's why people mark their spot.
