Arggggg! This scares me even more than the 'survey'. When I was a kid, I used to have nightmares that HR lived under my bed and would snatch me by my ankles and take me to their land. I started taking flying leaps into and out of the bed.

OK, I am calling my therapist now.

Arggggg! This scares me even more than the 'survey'. When I was a kid, I used to have nightmares that HR lived under my bed and would snatch me by my ankles and take me to their land. I started taking flying leaps into and out of the bed.

OK, I am calling my therapist now.

Parents think they are doing a "good" thing letting us watch those kids shows- in reality- they WERE pretty creepy!

In 20 years you will be hearing from adults that are in therapy b/c parents now think that "Barney" is OH SO stinking cute!

Heads UP!!! Kmart is having Halloween festivities on Sat., Oct 27 in Marshalltown, IA

Totally Ghoulish Halloween Fun Day on Oct 27, 2007, Sat from 12 noon to 5 pm. Trick and treating in store. Guess how much candy corn in jar. Costume contest. Face painting and coloring activities. And first 250 kids to enter store get Spiderman 3 stickers. At Kmart along with special deals.

This is in Marshalltown, IA but may be in other stores as well.

The Walmart near us is having a costume party on Halloween night..my kids will be out trick-or-treating, as I imagine every other kid around will be...nice gesture, I guess..

Now that I know the coupons will work here, I'm thinking about draggin my entire family up there to each get a bag of candy..I figure they owe me for all the hassles...

I was bummed out by the state restriction We get quite a few things there for my Patriots OBSESSED 6 year old son. I swear people are born to be a certain "type" and my son is a total jock! He loves sports - both playing & watching and has taken on the Pats & Red Sox as his teams but he even has a 2ndary team in both sports "just in case" 1 isn't on! DH & I like sports but not like the 6 year old....I have had to tape the last few innings of the series games just so he could watch the rest of them because he fell asleep.

OMG when I first started working I taught a class called English for non-readers Anyway that's a whole other story! I had a student in the class named Female--pronounced the same as above--when I asked her about her unusual name she just said her Mom thought she'd be able to name her at the hospital, but when they brought her to the room the hospital had already named her!

Ok that's just FREAKY!!!!
It has to be the same person!!!!!
Cuz the woman thought the hospital chose the baby's name - so that's how it was left! Duh!
She was born in St. Pete, FL.... where was your English class?

Just wanted to show off DD's halloween costume. FYI, for all those that were gracious with their advise and warm wishes and prayers for my DD when she started her new school, THANKS again, here is an update: DD is doing so well, she has a lot of new people in her life, she is going to her first high school boy/girl party,(parent chaperoned at a hall) and has been invited to 'get ready' at a new friends house!! So many GREAT changes have come in the last few weeks for her. She is smiling, is happy, and LOVES her new school! What a difference a new school and some well given advise can do!
