It's actually not free when you stay there, but it is covered by the "resort fee". Was the OP meaning Wifi in the lobby or in the rooms? If you mean in the rooms, the resort fee covers it.

From what I have understood, with PPH and DLH, you officially pay for wifi, but I've always been able to hook into the lobby wifi. Those wifi waves don't seem to understand walls and doors and ceilings and such.

There was a discussion of GCH on the DVC boards, and I ended up calling them (not mentioning DVC). They said that at GCH, wifi is *going to be* in all rooms, but not all rooms have it yet b/c of the construction.

hmm interesting even used my lap top by the pool areas. at any rate all my trips have been booked by DVC points so maybe that is why it seems free to me. but since everyone else booking pays the resort fee that means wifi is paid out of that and not an additional fee to use.

Sitting in my room using the "free" wifi. I actually was joking with my wife that this one of the only upscale hotel that wifi doesn't cost a fortune
