Free waterpark day with UK 14 day tickets

I have a 14 day ticket but I’m also doing a split stay. Therefore I was thinking of making my transfer day as one of my non-park days for the 14 day ticket (staying slightly longer than 2 weeks). This would allow me to do the free waterpark entry but I’m worried the system might automatically pick my ticket rather than the free entry. I can see in MDE that I’m eligible for the free waterpark day on my day to swap resorts. Has anyone done this yet? How did it work?

On that ticket, I believe it's unlimited entry to the waterparks for the duration of the ticket. I bought that same ticket last year and we could go as often as we wanted for the days the ticket was valid. One day was more than enough... Call or email them to confirm.

Just to be clear… which UK ticket are you buying?

I’m not sure if the terms have changed but historically they have worked like this:

There is generally 2 options. One is a 7 day hopper, the other a 14 day hopper.

The 14 day ticket would get 14 days of theme park admission usable over an 18 window, PLUS 14 credits to access waterparks or golf. Those credits could be used at any time over that 18 day window.

You could overlap with a theme park day or use on one of your days off. You could even use 2 of those credits (entitlements) the same day, like going to the waterpark from 10am-3pm followed by a round of mini-golf. You could even overlap those credits on one of your park days, like hit Hollywood Studios in the morning, go to Blizzard Beach in the afternoon, then hit Magic Kingdom that night.

The 7 Day ticket worked in similar fashion. Got a 14 day window to be used, with 7 days of park hopping PLUS 7 entitlements/credits to be used at waterpark, golf, minigolf, ESPN on any of those 14 days.

Unless things have changed, if you buy a 14 day hopper you should have plenty of waterpark visits included. More than enough!

The 14 day hopper over 18 days. We’re there for 18 days so will have some non-park days. My stamina each day isn’t good so I like shorter visits to the parks and some rest days. I’ll take a look at the conditions on the ticket for the number of water park entries. We definitely don’t need 14 of those!

For the other person that said 1 visit to the water park was enough. I’m more the type that will do a few short visits rather than a long day there.

That ticket allows for 14 "plus" visits which includes the waterparks, mini-golf, foot golf or Oak Trail.

As for the free waterpark day on your split stay changeover day -- my understanding is a separate waterpark ticket will appear in your app maybe a day or so prior to check-in (for each of your check-in dates). Just make sure they use that one instead of the regular ticket.

Interesting about the foot golf, where is it?

Basically the 14 day ticket gets you 18 days of park entries but a max of 14 at a theme park or a water park
We go in the summer and only Typhoon Lagoon is open which is a shame as I prefer blizzard beach

It was me! I said that because it was insanely crowded on a weekday in mid September, the slowest week of the year. It was people soup and lounge chairs were nearly impossible to find. We arrived 45 minutes after opening. The only chairs we could find were the really low to the ground small ones, not lounge chairs. And we were literally sitting 4 inches from strangers because the chairs were so packed together. And this was before the free waterpark on arrival day offer. Many vloggers/bloggers have reported that the water park parking lots are filled fairly early in the day and that crowds are horrible. It was not a pleasant experience, we enjoyed the resort quiet pool at our hotel much more (Poly). I have the same ticket this year and I do not plan on going to a water park. And it's highly unlikely they will open both for the summer, they don't have the staff nor do I believe it would be all that profitable for them to do so. If you go in the late afternoon, it might be a better experience. Oh, and take a rideshare, Disney transportation to the water parks is not great. You have to transfer at either DAK or DS, depending in the time of year and the water park that is open.

I agree one day will be enough.
You will be very sun burned due to your skin not being use to the Florida sun.

Actually I’m an Australian so even though I’m posting in the UK forum (I travel back and forth for work and like many Australians use the UK tickets) so my skin is used to more intense sun than in Florida and I’m big on the sunscreen, long sleeve rashies, etc. It’s actually nice being in Florida as I feel OK out in the heat of the day with sun protection. I was raised to skip swimming in the middle of the day because of the UV intensity where I live but it’s nice to do that further north where the ozone layer is thicker.

I’ve personally done both Disney water parks previously but in the off season so will be interesting to see what it’s like when very busy. We’re not big on loungers (lack of sun protection and skin drying out due to the chlorine) so will just be happy if we can do a few slides and get a float for the lazy river for a while. Maybe Disney springs for lunch after checkout of the first hotel then the water park later in the afternoon will be a good fit as people start to leave closer to closing.
