Free Upgrade

I know this might be cheeky and I might be completely wrong but since im going when its quite I was wondering if there is ever a chance of a free upgrade either to a different room or even a different hotel?

Has anyone ever experienced this or know of someone who has?

I think most folk (myself included) have been upgraded at check-in without asking ie its been a nice surprise from Disney .

Personally, I wouldn't ask for an upgrade - but I do usually phone the hotel about a week before we go and ask for a nice room in a quiet location.

Oh i see you got upgraded to Newport Beach lucky you!!! I would love to be upgraded. Do you think I should call them and say its for a special occasion (just a little white lie?)

Well I´m at the Cheyenne in January and an upgrade to the SQL would be fine....

They tend to onlu upgrade hotels is when they have overbooked the one you are staying in. You stand a better chance of request a certain room before you go.

Well i called them today to request a room near the factilites and they said ohh I dount you'd be able to get one because they are usually fully booked and then she checked and they werent fully booked so she said she will put a request in. I dont mind that! xx

I asked, politely, if an upgrade was available when we checked in to the Sequoia Lodge this past Monday, and we were moved from one of the outer lodges to the main building!
