Free upgrade to OKW or SSR, but no car??

I got it too!! Yes, you keep the free dining. I went with SSR and got an additional free upgrade to a 1-bedroom villa with a jacuzzi tub! I'm soo excited!

The only problem you will have now is that you will never want to stay in anything smaller than a one bedroom. This is especially true if you are traveling with kids. Once you stay in one and can have your own space you never want to go back!

We have stayed in both resorts and prefer OKW. We always stay in a room that is close to the hospitality house. We find that to be easier. I don't know if any of you getting the upgrade will be able to get it, but it doesn't hurt to ask. When we stayed in SSR we stayed in Congress Park (our choice) and it was nice to be able to walk to DTD and we had a view of it a night as well. That was nice.

Okay I'm dancing about like a crazy person!!!

Just got off the phone with Disney. Only now I'm waiting for a confirmation Email because the very nice girl on the phone didn't give me a chance to pick one or the other on SSR and OKW and when I asked which one she booked us for, she said I wouldn't know til I checked in, because they'd be waiting to see which rooms filled up first. I'm not really sure she knew what she was doing so might have to call back later.

But.....YAY!

She also said some crap about how the new price of my trip was $100 cheaper and my account would have a credit *scratches head* I'm not complaining if that's true!

Just got off the phone and upgrading from POP to SSR 1 bdrm (the pin said studio), and it was $5 cheaper!!!! I am so excited!!!

No I have not paid for my trip. It is due Aug 5th. I am so excited about the 1-bedroom upgrade. And I know you're right...I will never want to go back to a value. Same thing on a cruise, once you've had a balcony, you can never go back to an interior

Nope, I wasn't going to pay mine off until it was due because I was still debating on a Universal Studios trip. I had a free 7-day ticket to US from the Superbowl Sweepstakes.

I'm at work and no way I can wait on the phone for 30+ minutes. But I think I've decided on SSR if it's available.

The cast member I spoke with told me the price this upgrade would have cost without the free pin, and it was $2000 + more than my original reservation! Wow!

Also, we are a grand gatherings...I have 3 rooms of us going at the same time...is there anyway all 3 of us could get this or am I just wasting my time?

You do NOT need a car to stay at either resort. We are loyal to Old Key West and have never ever had a car while staying here.

We will be there for 10 days starting in 2 weeks and we are SO excited!!

Oh please oh please Disney sprinkle some pixie dust on our trip and send us a pin code! We have have 2 preferred rooms booked at Pop 27 Sep - 03 Oct and it would be great if we got a pin....

Hmm...hopefully that will appease the Disney gods....

I am hoping for you too! I would have never spent the $4000 this upgrade will cost, because I would rather spend that on my cruise for spring break

Just got off the phone it was so easy, but definitely a 20-25 minute wait. Got a 1-bedroom Villa, no extra cost.

And, no we haven't paid yet, isn't due until 8/4

I am in a GG at POP. One party (me) is staying 10 nites, one party is staying 9 nites, and one is staying 4.

The one that is staying 4 nites got the OKW/SSR offer.

She asked about the other GGs rooms. And the CM said no.
