Free tickets and timeshare tours

Does anyone know of any timeshares that are offering free tickets to attend timeshare presentations? Thanks

Go out the main gate to 192, turn right, and when you get into the business district there will be lots of little booths in front of or just inside stores advertising these kinds of deals. However do not buy partially used tickets directly at these booths, such tickets are illegal to use.

In recent years I got a ticket from Vistana (east of WDW) and one from Orange Lake (on 192 west of WDW). I could have gotten Disney tickets but chose Sea World and Universal instead. I think these timeshares are still giving out tickets. In each case the free gift was a one day ticket per adult attending, you could pay extra to get selected multi day tickets, for example (then) $25. extra for a 2 day Universal ticket.

I didn't push the limit but I was told that these tickets expired after a year. Terms and conditions do vary so ask first.

About 1985 I got a 3 day hopper pass (MK and Epcot only, then) from a timeshare, I forget the name.

You need to be VERY careful about trying to get tickets from some of those "booths" you see set up all over down here. More times than not, you don't get what you think you are.

Just about every offsite hotel has a booth set up to get you on one of these tours, also. I would trust them much more than the outdoor booths.

Back in Nov we took a free trip to see Calypso Cay and they gave us 2 free tickets to WDW. I think we had an option to get tickets to any of the major theme parks in Orlando.

How are the sales pitches? Are they a nightmare to attend, do you wish you just paid for the tix?

I definatly agree with Robin that the ones inside the hotels are much better. There is also a building by Universal that has one. I have never attended one personally but know many who have.

I think the main thing is how pushy you can be back and how well you can say "No thank-you!" Remember these people are drilled with this stuff and can make it look much much much better than it is!

I'm not a pushy person and I would think I was buying the best thing in the world which is why unless its DVC I'll never go to a meeting for a timeshare.

Some people are excellent at it though.

I almost feel guilty admitting this but here goes....DH and I are bigtime moochers(sp?)....

We have been to 4 timeshare presentations....JUST to get the free weekend. We've been to Gatlinburg, Destin, and Orlando twice. It was hard to say no at first because we do vacation alot and these places really are nice....but once we take a look at the payments it's a no-brainer. We just couldn't afford it. Plain and simple. We scrimp and save for every vacation we take.

So as long as these folks keep inviting us....we'll keep going!
