This will be our first time at F&W, my husband and I have seen the schedule and would like to take in some of them on top of our booked events.
Now, the question is, do these offer tastings?
My husband thinks 'no way!' since it's free, but I thought they did...anyone know? Is it all lecture style or a little hands on? Thanks!

Yes, they do offer tastings - small ones.

Last year the food demos had 100 "participating" seats. Beyond that, you could sit in the back and watch the lecture, but you wouldn't get a taste. Sometimes they served a taste of wine or liqueur with the food, then they might ask for ID before serving you the alcohol. (They never asked me, but they haven't in years for some reason.)

Wine tastings are first come, first seated. When they fill up, no more are admitted.

I found it best to be in line 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time on weekdays, 30-45 minutes prior on weekends.
