I know a lot of us don't think about backups, even techies are a "do as I say not as I do" lot 
, so a lot of us are caught with our pants down if something happens to our systems.
I received a link today from a tech friend for a remote Internet backup service called Mozy. They will backup up to 2GBs of data for free. My friend is knowledgable so if he sent it to me then it's on the up and up.

Just wanted to add that if you have dialup this might not be the option for you since it can take a lot of time on dialup.
