DD may be returning to WDW in March with her Grandparents for a few days. We were going to buy an AP for her, since we will be there for 8 days in Dec.

Do we get free parking with that AP?

I've never read any distinction between adult and child's AP benefits.

I'd doubt that this situation would come along very often as children with AP's entering a parking lot would usually be with an adult holding her/his own AP.

Worst that could happen is that they don't honor the free parking and driver would have to pay... not such a big deal in the grand scope of a Disney trip.

But its likely that the free AP parking WOULD be honored.

Thanks for bringing this up. My son has an AP and we don't. It was given to him as a xmas gift but DH and I can't really afford to get one for all of us. I have been wondering if parking and discount benefits still apply if you only have a child in your party with an AP.

The bennies like the 10% lunch discounts at certain WDW restaurants only require the use of ONE AP per party, so I doubt that it would matter "which" AP you presented (in YOUR case it might be the ONLY AP that your party had).

Again, I've never seen any distiction in the BENEFITS between a child's or adult's AP.

We often use our DS's (child) pass for parking, meal discounts & store purchases & have never had a problem. Although we have AP's also, he usually has it out quickly for us & we've never been asked to present our own.

Exactly what I was thinking would be the case.

Since AP'ers usually travel in "packs" ;)
I wouldn't think anyone would even worry about "which" AP they were presented (except at the gates, of course.)

Check the pass. I believe there is a black square on the back side which is what they are looking for. I could be wrong but my old AP's used to have them and any non AP tickets I saw did not have them.
