Free parking with annual pass question

Does the driver have to have an annual pass to get free parking, or can it be anyone in the car?

Anyone in the car. They may ask for photo ID to match the pass.

Plan on having photo ID and your actual AP. Magic band is not generally sufficient.
We were asked for photo ID and the AP card almost everyplace we got an AP discount, including parking at AK.

It's now suppose to be mandatory to show ID as well as your AP card or scanning of MB.

It use to be every once in a blue moon, but they want to crack down on guests sharing an AP's MB to get free parking.

We've never been asked for the actual card. Scanning the MB (and occasionally having to show a photo ID) has been the norm on our visits.
