Hi. One more week to go and I just have a few last minute questions- we read in the Unofficial Guide (2005) that Disney resort guests get free parking at the parks? We are staying at OKW, so we should have no problems with this, right? We also have park hopper passes and it seems to me they included parking too? I'm sure if the UG says it, it is true, but I have never heard it mentioned here, so I just wanted to be sure- no suprise costs when we get down there... Thanks!

Yes, this is true. You will get a parking pass when you check in, just show it at the entrance and no parking charge.

I also wanted to add that park tickets DON'T include parking!!!!

As a resort guest, you do get free parking. Park Hopper passes do not include free parking. If someone is off site and has a Park Hopper, they only pay parking for the first resort they go to each day. If you hop to another park, you keep your parking ticket to show when entering the next park.

So if you have the AAA parking pass and are staying at CSR, then do you get the AAA parking for free as well? I read somewhere that you have to pay for the AAA parking.

You need a voucher for the AAA parking. It varies from branch to branch, but most places will give you one if you just purchase a Magic Your Way ticket.

The reason they put the "you have to pay" disclaimer is because once people get it, they think it means free parking. It means that you can park in a special area of the lot. If you're a resort guest, you don't pay no matter where in the lots you park. :)

Just to set the record straight for everyone who reads this:
The only Disney passes that include parking as one of their perks are the AP's and PAP's. No other tickets include the parking.

A little tip. When you drive up to the parking plaza, stay all the wya to the right. This is where the buses are let through to the bus stops. This will keep you out of the line and the parking attnedant will wave you through if you put your parking pass inside the driver's side windshield.

You can go through the bus lane?

Thanks everyone! My husband is going to see if AAA will give us a parking pass, since we have so many kinds of insurance through them (although we did not purchase out tickets or any part of the trip there). Can't hurt to ask!

Yep - in fact, I think you have to use that lane if you're staying at a MK Area Resort; you need to veer right to get to the access road, and you don't want to have to try and do so across 4 other lanes....
