Free one year subscription to Women's Day Magazine

No, it's not a scam. My DH got a free computer gaming magazine from them at the beginning of the year. As with any freebie offer, you should use a different email address than the one you access all the time. There's an "opt-out" link on their privacy policy to receive any future offers from them. I'm not saying you won't get any spam because they will sell your email address to other companies. That's how they are able to offer the free magazine. But they don't ask for any personal info other than your address and what kind of work you do (which you don't have to necessarily answer truthfully). They also ask for the last digit of your birth year. I put a different digit.

My DH said he didn't get any more spam than the usual amount one gets with a freebie offer. Just set up a different email account and go in and delete the spam once a week. That's what we do for freebie offers.

I think I tried to get Entertainment Weekly recently on that site or another like it and was told it had to be approved..never heard anything

OOS now.

This is not a scam though. I've gotten several free magazine subscriptions from them over the years.

The same thing happened yesterday with the magazine being out of stock, but then it's available again later in the day or the next morning. They must have a daily quota they give away.

Check back this evening or in the morning. It should be back up again.
