I know a lot of us have gotten the free Emerald Club membership through the process described on mousesavers.

I just wanted to let everyone know that National has free enrollment in Emerald Club on their website right now!

Is it possible to use the Priceless code and Ent. coupon with Emerald Aisle rentals?

Yes, I'm using them in Sept with emerald reserve minivan but have used it with Emerald Isle

Thanks! I just wish the rates would drop a little from what they are. Do I understand it correctly that I just need to reserve an intermediate car, then when I arrive I can choose from whatever's on the Em. Aisle row (hopefully there will at least be an intermediate--right?)

Yes, the Emerald Aisle reservation is for an Intermediate and then you head to the EA aisle and are guaranteed an Intermediate...you might be lucky enough to get a better car but there are no guarantees....I've never gotten anything but an Intermediate on the EA.

With Emerald Reserve, you book the size you need and head to that aisle.

With Emerald Club reservations (EA and ER) you can use codes and coupons....

If you do not belong to the EC and try and book using Quick Rent, you cannot use coupons.

If you do an EC reservation and try and use an upgrade coupon, you will have to head to the counter first instead of right to your aisle. All other coupons used, you can just head right to your aisle.

Hope this helps!

Yes, that helps a lot! I think I understand it much better now. I just wasn't sure exactly how it worked. Is there a chance rates will drop closer to Oct. for that time, or will they stay high due to conventions and the F & W Fest?

No, rates could certainly go down before then. Just keep checking at National and here for posts about the rates coming down. My rate for Sept/Oct just came down today and my rate for Nov/Dec also came down today so they do change!

I could not find the free membership at first. I just wanted to point out that it is at the top right of the screen. Geez, I am blind sometimes. :teeth:

We originally singed up for EA in 2002 or 2003, and was under impression it was annual thing, but when I check on line it says it doesn’t expire till 2037? Any idea?

I have been an Emerald club member for about 4 years, and have never had to reregister. I don't think the membership has an expiration, it is indefinite AFAIK.

Yes, I've done it many times, as recently as May.

I've had an Emerald Club card since 1998 and have never had to pay for it or do any type of renewal.

Just last week we used the Entertainment and Priceless codes for a rental at Newark In'tl Airport in Newark, NJ (Rates are always high there as NYC area is always excluded from the best discounts). I have successfully used those same codes at MCO many times. Oct 13 we are picking up our car at the Car Care Center. We are taking ME to WDW and picking up later in the day at the CCC so that we save a full day of rental by picking up at our return hour instead of our arrival time.
