I'd love to do a dessert party, but I'm just not sure it's in the budget right now. Any suggestions for locations where we can potentially bring snacks/drinks and just have a casual welcome party? Like maybe a beach/nook somewhere where we can all hang out or something like that? Thanks so much for your advice.

I don't see why you couldn't do this alongside many of the pool areas or even a small corner of the food court. Another option might be someplace at Fort Wilderness. I haven't been over there in a while but since it is a campground I would think there would be some gathering spots set up where there would be picnic tables. I am doing mine offsite to save money. If you have your own transportation that is always an option too.

We held a casual meet 'n' greet in one of the public areas at our resort, the Parlor at Beach Club Villas, although we didn't bring food. But I don't think it would have been a problem.

I have also heard of people having pool parties - they just had to be mindful of the other resort guests. :goodvibes
