FREE GREEN & PINK Pop Fridge Swap - Timeslots available in Fall/Winter 2009

Thanks for a great handoff Thunderbird. This is a great fridge (green) and includes coffeemaker (which we used). Fridge is large and very cold freezer. Coffeemaker is good, but there is a chip out of spout on glass carafe so be careful. Thanks for letting us participate. Enjoy your trips, we loved ours!

Whew! So glad you got the fridge and that it worked well for you. This is my first fridge swap, and I was having anxiety about having it disappear after I had it. Sorry we weren't able to meet in person, but hope you had a good trip! I hear you might have encountered some crowds. . . .

Just reporting in.....the coffeemaker was MIA for a few hours. Luggage services said they didn't have it. I texted the person before me and she said that it was definitely there, so I went back to luggage services and they located it finally.

But like someone previously mentioned, the coffee maker carafe has a chip on the pourer. We were afraid to use it, so packed it back up and didn't touch it all week. Bummer!

When we packed everything up today for the next person, we put the coffeemaker box INSIDE the fridge.

Had a fun week, but yikes, the crowds!!!

I have Pm the person in charge of the swap but they must be out of town. I was just made aware that I have signed up for the wrong swap.
I have both fridges confirmed for June 18-24 but we are at ALL Star Sports not POP. I will be given both fridges up. I am not postive what date the person be hind me needs fridge but I belive it is on the 24th

Once again, if some kind soul would be interested in taking over the swap, please let me know -- I feel like I'm letting you folks down by being away so much. - LOTS of deadlines at work & getting house ready for sale = very little computer time!

Just wanted to update that the Pink fridge worked great for us. There is a toaster (we didn't use) in a box inside the fridge. Coffee maker still MIA. We left in for the next swapper.

Just got back. The green fridge ROCKED!!! It was roomy enough for a gallon of milk, several cans of beer and pop and two small pizza boxes. Thanks for letting me participate!
I do have some bad news, I noticed right away that the coffee pot has a little chip in the spout. But it works just fine. We used it everyday for the past week.

Yea, I noticed the spout chip, too. We were afraid to use the pot.

Just a heads up for those coming up on the swap. I was bummed because we brought coffee, coffeemate and filters.

Maybe someone might want to replace the pot?

Swap list is updated - we have openings for both fridges in June & otherwise no new additions. Have a possible volunteer to take over the swap, at least for the summer - will make an announcement in the OP if that works out.

Hi - I actually PAID for another swap to use this week, but now the paid swaps are closed and I can't find out any info about the fridge that I supposedly paid for!!

So i see that your pink fridge may still be open for this coming week - do you think I can get on this swap? I leave tomorrow!!

I had the green fridge the end of last week. Coffee maker is included, I left it INSIDE the fridge.
Didn't use the coffee maker, so I can't say how well it worked.
As for the fridge itself, it worked well. It even froze bottles of water which i was pleased about.

It'd be nice if someone brought a pack of cleaning wipes and left it for future users.

Aslo, note there is a clear 8.5x11 page protector taped to the box. I had pre-printed the next user's name and registration info on a page before I left home. It worked perfectly to slip into the page protector on the box.

Just got back and the green fridge worked great. It wasn't in my room but when I called luggage they brought it right up. The bottom of the box and the coffee bot box were a bit damp so I put them on the "closet" shelf and it dried right out. We didn't end up using the coffee pot so don't know any thing about it.

Just arrived back in the UK, both fridges are alive & well (thanks to all involved for the good swaps). Didn't use the coffee pot with the green one and there was no toaster with the pink (was there meant to be, there was no sign of it anywhere?).

However, one interesting thing was that when I picked them up I was taken into luggage services to help find them - there are loads of fridges in there and the original pink fridge is alive and well and being used in another swap! I can't remember the exact name on it but it was something like Daniel De[something]... I was tempted to just take the pink one back and swap the names but I didn't.

The fridges are all ready for Val & Diane - I have photos of both of them all labeled up just before they went into luggage services.

Thanks for the update, kissinuk - glad all went well & how funny to hear that Original Pink is in another swap... I guess as long as each swap has a fridge, we're all good.

I think I've got all the updates made - a couple of date changes, but no new folks at the moment.
