free food?im in! pre trip report

welcome!
new year, newme, thought i should get organised and write down all this stuff in cyber space, especially as hae done it twice no due to laptop dying
we are starting our holiday on the 2nd aug, travelling down from the midlands and staying overnight at heathrow at a hotel where we will leave our car until we collect it
on the morning of the 3rd we are flying on AA to miami, w land about 2 and will collect our rental car (still to be organised) and travel up to fort lauderdale where we will overnight (prob at the doubletree galleria where we stayed on our first trip way back in 2004) we just need some where with a pool for the kids to let off some steam after being cooped up on the plane for 9 hours
4/8 we will leave FLauderdale asap, plan to let the kids sleep as long as they need so jet lag has gone and we are on FL time (well thats the plan anyway
after checking at at SSR (hopefully about lunch time...) we are going to put our stuff in the room, and then go over to DTD for some lunch. We are the DDP, so TS and CS have been much researched, lol! you ll learn that alot of planning has gone into maximising the plan, not on a financial way, but to get the best quality we can
so back to the plan! CS at EOS for lunch, then a trip to ghiradellis for sundaes (will get cookies for dessert from EOS and keep then for bfast the next day) after a quick trip to goofys for some make your own snacks back on the boat and either pool or snooze time (depending on how grouchy thekids are) then off for dinner atchef mickeys!! hope to have an early dinner (5ish) so kids cn get back and into bed for big 1st day the next day!!
5/8 1st park day, AK\!!! always our first pa, not sure why, lol
bfastwe be had in the room, either the cookies from EOS or we ll pick something else up at DTD. R/D then safari EE and then get wet, lol!! hope to b out of AK 12ish and then we are heading to DQ to get the kids out of the heat for a few hours... lunch will either be at FTB or at WPE at DTD, then we are going to one of the waterparks (prob TL) for a few hours. This is where i confess i hate water parks but mykids love them and hey, its ther holiday too
depending on how the kids are, either CS at TL, or at SSR - bed!!
6/8 MK day. hopefully for R/D... pick up bfst at the main street bakery and then up to fantasy land for all the "baby" rides which we all love so much,
again, out by lunch, either pool/snooze and then backto epcot for dinner, hopefully at lecellier!! tootle around FW then home to bed, or illuminations if the kids are well rested.
7/8 HS days. bfast from starring rolls, then do the big rides beore getting out before lunch well thats the plan! pool/snooze the back to HS for dinner at 50s PTC and fantasmic. last year we missed this due to TS faye, so its high on our to do list!
8/8 sunday chill day, will hang out at the hotel pool, watch the kids play in the pool then head off to MK dinner at CP and then wishes.
9/8 back to AK, do the stuff we missed on the 1st trip, late lunch at yak and yeti before heading to the other water park, chill until they have had enough, lol!
10/8 we are going to split up, dh and ds 10 are goin to do the train tour, ds 12 dd and i are going to epcot, possibly to bfast at akerhaus, then we ll meet up and do some of WS, pool/snooze and then off to the yaughtsman steakhouse for our only sig dinner
11/8 BB or TL r/d then back to HS for shows we missed then ohanas fo dinner, we are going to watch the fireworks on the beach and see the light show
12/8 kim possible day, bfast at sunshine seasons, and then straight to WS- im looking forward to this... back to ssr for a break and then dinner at CDF to see remi, prob tootle around the BW after dinner, check out the bakery
13/8 bfast at kona before hittingMK, best of the best!! break then wishes
14/8 WPE bfast and then going over to US fo the day, dinner a the wave
15/8 sunday - nothing planned except dinner at wcc (family tradition)
16/8 bfst at boma then free day either US or HS
17/8 bfast at ohanas and then MK... migt catch fantasmic again tonight if the kids are up to it!
18/8 checkout of ssr, move to *somewhere*
fly home on 24th - so a few days planning left yet, hahaha

thanks i still have alot to organise, but as we need to book our adrs in 4 weeks, and i ll be bogged under at work, i needed to get the planningsorted before the end of my xmas break

i really have spent alot of time researching the ddp, we did it last year too, and it really works for us, inthe sense the kids want food or drink, heres you key, go get it, pus no cash to carry around.
alot has changed since last year, but we know what we like, and what we didnt so that helps. last year wehad 2 kids on the kids menu- this year ds 10 is an adult and we have upgraded dd to an adult, so this will open doors for us too!!
