Cast: DW, DS16, DD13, self
TUE Sept19: Landed in an Orlando thunderstorm, or tried to. Captain pulled up about 30 feet from the ground twice before being able to land. Talk about Soarin'!!! Arrived at POFQ around 6PM in some rain after a smooth pickup from the Magical Express. The rain at POFQ made for great themeing.
WED Sept20: Magic Kingdom with very low crowds. Weather cleared and had a nice day. Just started noticing the love bugs. Hated to leave to do to 'Ohana dinner on the Dining Plan since MK crowds were so low. Good meal at 'Ohana but I prefer the skewered shrimp. Went back to MK for Wishes. Walked up near the Disney statue in front of the castle 5 minutes before the fireworks and sat on the ground. Plenty of room.
THU Sept21: Epcot. Rode the green (non-spinning) Space version & kids rode the orange. Love bugs increasing. Great dinner at LeCellier except for the neighboring table who let the whole restaurant know their life's story and travel plans. Oh well. Illuminations at night.
FRI Sept 22: Breakfastasaurus at AK for breakfast. We rode Everest about 4 times then the kids rode about 6 more times, all without Fast Pass. Love bugs multiplying and trying for more! Spoodles for dinner. We went last year and really like it there. Had the nicest server but I forget her name.
SAT Sept 23: Typhoon Lagoon. Love bugs galore! Kids could stay at TL the whole trip. Delicious dinner at Kona Cafe.
SUN Sept 24: Disney Studios. DS is into guitars and bought a bunch of things at the Rock n Roller Coaster store. Dinner at Teppanyaki. Excellent scallops.
MON: Sept 25 More Studios and Epcot for Coral Reef Dinner. Got a great table at the glass. Food was OK but the decor and view were a 10!
TUE: Sept 26 By now it is official that Stacy is annoying on Disney TV. Blizzard Beach for the love bug maximum. Afternoon at Epcot. Family went to LeCellier again but I wanted something different so I went to Biergarten for the buffet and enjoyed it.
WED: Sept 27 Typhoon Lagoon again, Studios, and Tony's at MK for dinner. The sauce was not good. Nice waiter but that may be our last time there.
THU: Sept 28 Epcot and dinner at Alfredo's. Seemed like the same sauce as Tony's. The sauce at the POFQ food court was better. Wishes to close out our last night.
FRI: Sept 29 Checked bags with Magical Express and went to DisneyQuest until time to catch the bus for POFQ and then the airport. Had lunch at Earl of Sandwich. Really good food but, same as last year, a non-magical staff.
Got bumped off of our connecting flight and got home a day later but with free airfare for later.
SUMMARY: Low crowds, good weather, lots of love bugs, Dining Plan is great, POFQ was very quiet and a great stay. Great trip.
