"Free" Fastpasses?

I thought I read somewhere that there were certain FP attractions that were not connected to the fastpass system and therefore you could get more than one fastpass at a time because if you had a FP for these attractions the system would not know you already had one and would let you get another. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or am I just confused?

There is only one "disconnected" FP at WDW.
It is the FP for Lights, Motors, Action Stunt Show at MGM.

Hmm...not sure if this is what your talking about, but...
For awhile the Haunted Mansion had "free" fast passes. They actually were hooked up the the system, but the computer was set to allow you to obtain another fast pass immediately after you obtained your Haunted Mansion passes. There was no time window in place that required you to wait (occasionally the machines would spit out tickets that had a 5 minute wait before you could get another ticket). However, If you already had a fast pass for another attraction, you usually couldn't get a Haunted Mansion fast pass.
Alas, Haunted Mansion no longer has Fast Pass...and I doubt they will be getting them back.
Hmm...guess that doesn't really help you, Symon, does it? Sorry :(

Thanks for the help! Robo - it was the one at LMA I was thinking of, I just couldn't remember which show at MGM it was for. :thumbsup2

Techinally they all are free, unless someone is selliing some unused ones on eBay...hmmm that is an interesting business idea. :rotfl:

Is Star Tours still disconnected at MGM?

I know it used to be. You can also sometimes get a random extra bonus FP from the machines, not that it's much use if you want everybody in your party to be able to ride!

You are FAR from being the first "entrepreneur" to think of that "deal."

There have been several FP's for sale on eBay and several discussions on this board about them. :goodvibes

I heard that the Jungle Cruise wasn't connected, but I can't verify.

I can assure you from recent personal experience that it IS connected and limits FP's like all the others in MK.

We got Star Tours FP's during our visit to MGM on 8/10.

But during that week, several other attractions had their FP machines covered: Jungle Cruise, Stitch, Haunted Mansion are the ones that come to mind in MK.

Oops, just wanted to add a quick something...
Jungle Cruise is connected about 95% of the time. However, occasionally they change this...Something to do with crowd patterns...I think...
So always always look at your fast pass ticket and see what time it says you can get another one!

Colonel - Haunted Mansion had Fast Pass machines (covered or not) in August? :) Yey!

Sorry, everybody I promise I am NOT trying to hijack this thread...Please forgive me!

This is going back a few years, but at one time the Indiana Jones show in the studios was not connected. We had a FP for both Indy and Star Tours at the same time

That's how I remember it, but we walked on so we didn't spend a lot of time looking at them. I know JC and Stitch had FP machines, but they were covered because we tried to get FP's for them.

Yes, these FP machines were known as "unlinked" FPs.

But most of them have been linked to the system now, except the LMA stunt show at MGM.

Not that you really need a fastpass for LMA, though.

And have the FP machines for Stitch ever been used??
