matosfam contacted me this evening and told me both of the straps that I had secured (tightly with carbuckle fasteners) were missing from the box when she went to luggage services to retrieve the fridge. I hate it because I felt the straps would be much better than repeated taping and cutting on the box. I don't know how the top is secured to the fridge now- those of you going soon may want to take packaging tape or some type of straps for the box to keep the top on. Since the bottom of the box is missing, I believe the top part is just slipped over the fridge. I paid nearly $12 for the carbuckle strap set- they are bright royal blue. If anyone is at ASMusic, please check with their luggage services to see if the straps are misplaced in their storage area.

Howdy all just an update. I swapped with momto2inkc this afternoon. Everything looks great. I brought down a small luggage cart with me and it worked to transfer to my room just fine, I will leave with the fridge. I did however forget the bungie cords to secure it. Maybe Austydak could bring some long bungie cords (from the $ store maybe) down with him to leave with the fridge. not sure if we could leave it attached to the fridge/box then it would be easier for everyone to transfer. Also the box could get a little worse for wear in storage, maybe Wilson717 could bring down duct tape to beef it up a bit. Since the bottom of the box is missing the rest of the box will break down fairly quickly I'm guessing. So the tape would help I think. I will update when I get back.

I asked for a baggage claim ticket and dropped it off at the front desk of austydak's hotel with a note for him. I also left a message for lam712 with the claim number just in case. I have not heard if austydak had any problems picking it up sat. I hope all went well.
Can't wait for my Jan trip, and booked bounce back for Sept looks like I better start saving. Who needs heat in the winter-
