Free Emerald Club card at National?

I was able to sign up for a free Emerald Club card last year, but I don't remember how. My friend needs one. Anyone know how to avoid the $50 fee? Thanks!

I got mine through an offer by Disney club.

Go to www.mousesavers.com and follow the information there. You do have to phone National and request an application for a free Disney Club Emerald membership.

I am not a member of The Disney Club and yet I was able to get a free membership to Emerald. Any other ideas?

other than joining DC I cannot think of one. Biztravel used to have it for free, but, they stopped, then National had a limited promo to join for free but, they stopped that. So, I guess your friend will either have to become a DC member for 39.95 or pay the 50.00 to join.

I got mine (from info on this baord last year) from a credit card site..maybe capital one? I don't remember.
