Free EE pic question

My DH downloaded the Yeti Vision game and completed all 3 episodes. At the end of the 1st 2, we got a prize of a virtual everest pin. At the end of the last one, we got 200 credits and a virtual everest car couch. What did we do wrong? I thought we got a free picture. help!

I had the same problem, but I found help from a thread on the Budget board. Basically it was on my computer in my Programs file under Disney, then YetiVision, then Photoprize. I opened it and just printed it out.

Other people were talking about that they had to uninstall the game, then reinstall it and play it again to get it, but try looking for it first.

If that doesn't help, search for the thread on the Budget board - it was very helpful!

I had trouble getting our free photo and had contacted Disney. They gave me directions to find a file on my computer named (photoprize.htm). I did a search and found the file...there were actually 2 files that came up...one didn't have anything there but the other when I clicked on it, it had my free photo certificate, then just printed it from there. Disney said they were having a lot of trouble with the certificate and they had resolved it in the new version of the game but if you had downloaded it before that then you would have trouble finding the certificate. Hope you can locate yours.

I want a free photo too but I can't get the game to work I've unistalled it and re-installed it like 5 times now and everytime I try and start the game nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? I have Windows XP OS.

We actually won the game. I tried searching for "photoprize" on my computer and found it. I was so happy until I opened it. It's a bunch of blank boxes with red X's. Anyone have any ideas? Or an e-mail address to e-mail Disney about it? Thanks!

I won and got the certificate on my husbands laptop. So I saved it in his favorites list to send it to my computer with the printer.....Well I can't get his computer to send it to my computer so I can print it out. It says there is some safety thing on his that won't let it be sent to mine. I am confused. Thinking of trying to play it here too and see what happens I won it quickley but can't remember if I used my login and password on his computer to do it or not and if I did will it let me do it again??????

When you go to use it, you can't just show up at the EE picture place and use it. You first have to go to Customer Relations or something (it says on the print out) and get a certificate for the EE picture. Do that when you get to the park. Or if you don't, note the number of your EE picture, and then go back after you get the certificate and you can still get your picture.

Here's a word of warning...if you print it out directly from your computer, like the photoprize.html file from your c:drive, there's a good chance they won't let you have the free photo. It can't hurt to ask, but that's what happened to us over Easter.

I won the game, but like lots of others couldn't get the file to open right. I was able to search my computer for the file, open it fine, and print it. But when I took it to Guest Relations, a manager came out and said it was "fishy" because it should say "page 1 of 1" at the top right, instead of the "c:/programfiles/blahblahblah" I explained that I use firefox and it wouldn't print right, so I had to go in and manually make it print, and they said that that made it invalid and they completely refused to give me the free voucher. They were really nice, and we spent probably 15 mintues going around and around, before I finally gave up. It just wasn't worth ruining my day over.

I'm just hoping I am an isolated event, and everyone else doesn't have any trouble. But just don't be surprised, just in case they say no. I don't want anyone else to be as disappointed as I was.

Thanks for letting us know iwynlea. We used Firefox also, so maybe that was the problem? I'll be trying it on May 8, so I'll let everyone know what happens when we get back.

We're back, so I wanted to update what happened with us. We got to AK about 40 minutes before opening, so I went to the Guest Services outside the entrance and asked if I could exchange the photo voucher there. The CM said, "Well, you're really supposed to do it inside, but I'll go ahead and give it to you now." - which was really nice!

Mine also had the "c:/programfiles/ect..." at the top of the page, so I was a little worried that they wouldn't give it to me.

However, the CM never mentioned it at all, and gave me the certificate with no problem. Hopefully by now they've realized that there's some type of error in the program and aren't refusing people anymore.

...and I printed it from the game winning thing. I didn't have to search for it on my computer. Hmmmmmmmm


I will be disappointed if it doesn't work for us.

I'm so glad someone brought this up. I thought I had done something wrong. I had my 10 year old son play the game and win it for me (he's faster than I am) then never could "find" the coupon. I'll check on my computer when I get home. Thanks!
