Free dining? What am I missing?

I've just seen 2 mentions of a free dining plan at WDW - maybe this Fall? Can anyone clue me in? I've heard of the dining plan you add on where you can eat at certain restaurants, but its not for free (as far as I know)

Thanks,
Linda

I think anyone mentioning that this free dining will continue into the fall is "wishfull thinking" , as it stands now, the plan ends at the beginning of October. I highly doubt (but hope I'm wrong) they would continue it through Halloween or the wine and food festival. But we can always wish :wizard:

It seems that there is some sort of package deal for the value seasons each year. Last year had the 7 for 4 deal so who know what they will offer this year. Who knows it could even be 7 for 4 with free dining (ok - its a little far fetchedbut we can all dream can't we :wizard: )

Ok...but I think your new personal theme song will have to be "Beautiful Dreamer"!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Trust me...I hope there's a deal for all the Fall Vacationeers :cheer2:

I think they will come out with some incentives for later in the fall through the shoulder season. Last year they had great discounts all through the fall. Pretty much the same offer ($55 values...) were offered for the month of September and then again from late Sept. - until right before Christmas (only blacking out Thanksgiving I think) They did release them at different times though.
I think they released the late Aug- Sept promo rates in mid July- then released basically the same deal for check-ins from the end of Sept up until Christmas in August. I got in on the late fall code. It rocked.

I am in doubt that the free dining will be extended. I think it was offered for this period of time because:

1. back to school
2. last year during this time Orlando was hit by hurricanes.

This offer is enticing people to come to WDW during a traditionally slow time.

The FTP and the pay for 5 stay for 7 pkg, were offered from July thru November.

I agree too. Disney does not have to have incentives to bring folks in in October. With food and wine and MNSSHP, October has become a very popular time to visit, they have no problem filling rooms. Of course, if they do make the offer, I'll have to reexamine my existing ressies for Oct. 26-Nov. 5 that I'm holding at a CM rate.
