So I know that the current FD offer says if you stay at a Value, you get the Quick Service plan, and if you stay Mod. (or Deluxe) you get the Regular plan. And of course you can upgrade to the next dining level if you want (and pay the difference).

Anyone know if you can do the "reverse??" If you stay at a Moderate resort, can you get the QS plan if you'd rather have that?.....or is it just the Regular plan for those resorts?

.

From everything that's been reported, they won't let you "downgrade" to the QSDP. If you stay mod or deluxe, you can only have DDP. Or upgrade to DxDP of course. If you really really want QSDP though, you could always book a mod room with a room discount and pay for your QSDP.

Except that you need a package to buy QDSP and the discount is for room only bookings. Depending on the length of stay, you could get a gift card and pay for QSDP.

I've never had a problem booking a room with a 40% code (deluxe, obviously) and then adding tickets and dining to make it a "package". I don't think this has changed, because my aunt just booked at the Poly this way three weeks ago.

Hmm, interesting....We are a family of 5 so we always stay at POR. We were hoping for the QS plan this time around, though, so as not to be tied to ADRs; plus having 2 snacks per person and getting the refillable mug are big bonuses for us.

Oh well, it's not like I'm going to complain about getting the DDP!!

Except now I do actually get to start wondering about which restaurants.......:headache:

I'm sorry, you are totally right. What doesn't work is trying to book room only and dining without buying park tickets.

Can't you use a TS credit for a QS meal? If it's free anyway, what difference does it make?

You get 2 snacks/day and the mug with quick service plan. I don't know if you can always change the credit. I know during free dining when there weren't TS avail there was a trade off for a CS and something else (don't recall the options )

Can you stay at the All STars family suites? I think you get QSDP with that.

Possibly??.....but we really have no interest in staying there (other than I would love two sleeping areas!). It does cost more than POR, and we just love POR anyway. Love the atmosphere, the pools, the whole feel of the place. It's "our" resort.....:lovestruc
