Well, I'm glad I got to try the Dining Plan this year. We really enjoyed it!!

As a matter of fact, we almost booked the Bounce Back for 2008 even with the changes, but decided a September trip next year was just not feasible.

We left two counter service credits to Disney, but that was only because we didn't get up as early as planned on our last morning. If we had gotten up at our usual 6:30, we would have used them as breakfasts, then used our final 3 snacks on our way to the airport.

However, we were a little late getting going, so we used our final 3 snack credits as breakfast so we wouldn't be full for our lunch at Coral Reef, then when it came time to go to the airport, were still too full to consider eating before leaving, and didn't want to fool with food through security.

We also ended up ditching most of the "deserts" that came with the counter service meals. We would get something portable to possibly eat later, but it rarely happened.

We had no problems at any of the the al a carte restaurants with me ordering out of pocket instead of using a credit. (Le Cellier, 50s Prime Time) Five appetizers, four entrees, and four deserts were always more than enough food for the five of us.

Le Cellier and 50's Prime Time were good choices for sharing, as their entrees and appetizers were HUGE!! Coral Reef at lunch was a good choice to each use a full credit. The appetizers and entrees were a reasonable size, and we both still had room for desert.

Full reports on our meals, and a cost comparison to see if we saved money to come!! (I'm sure we did.)

Contrary to reports, the 18% tip WAS NOT added to my out of pocket Disney Dining Experience items.

I don't think that the 18% tip is being added to DDE until 08

Most folks reported that any out of pocket items ordered at the same meal where Dining Credits were used had the 18% tip added automatically. They did not in our case at 50's Prime Time or LeCellier. They did at the Poly Luau (extra alcoholic drinks).
