Free Dining Ticket Question

We have booked a bounce back offer with free dining for September. We have 3 travelers in our party.
I know we have to buy a 2 day base ticket for everyone on the reservation. One of our guests have an annual pass- so we would need to upgrade the other 2 tickets to 10 day park hoppers. When we check in and upgrade our tickets- do we have to upgrade all three tickets to keep the free dining? or can you just do 2- I have read that you can keep the ticket credit to put towards your AP renewal- but can that cost be applied to upgrade one of the other tickets to a 10 day park hopper?

Your AP person will still need to buy a 2 day ticket

and upgrade your ticket at Guest services in the park-- you can do just two of you

Do the math and see if it will be cheaper to upgrade the 2 day ticket to a AP instead of a 10 day park hopper

You can upgrade 2 of the tickets to 10 day hoppers and the third one can be used towards renewing the AP or saved for a future trip. You cannot use all 3 tickets towards upgrading just 2 of your tickets. Disney only allows you to use one ticket + money to upgrade said ticket.

You can bridge the value of the package tickets before upgrading by using them at least once at a park. It will then bring the value of the ticket to the current gate price. This is especially important if there's a ticket price increase between the time you booked your package and your DW visit.

Thank you for the responses. So I have to upgrade the two 10 day PH at the park ? Not at check in? Do I get brand new tickets or do they just add the additional days to the tickets they give you at check in. I'm worried about this being a disaster with my magic bands ...

if you do it at check in all three tickets will need to be upgraded. doing it at the park-- you can do it with the two

there is no disaster going to happen.

I upgraded 3 tickets (2 in one room and one in another to AP this way

So when I check in to the hotel will any of the tickets be linked to our magic bands or do we get hard copies of the tickets. This is my first time checking in with magicbands. I know normally your tickets are pre synced with your KTYW card. That way I can have hard copies to upgrade at the park and can save the third for when I renew my AP
