Free dining ticket/ AP help

Have a trip before my free dining trip and am going to buy AP. What happens to my ticket I was required to purchase as part of free dining? When does it expire with the new ticket system? Could I transfer it to someone else after the FD trip? Or could I apply that amount and my dd’s to upgrade her to AP? Thanks! I just don’t want to lose value!

1. It will expire on the date stated when you bought the ticket. (Likely Dec.31, 2019. But, possibly on a later date.)
2. Yes. (You can transfer it immediately after you arrive at WDW, if you like.)
3. No. But, you could apply ONE of those ticket's value to upgrade to an AP for anyone.
The value of only ONE single ticket can be used to upgrade to another single ticket or AP.

You could also SAVE that ticket and use it's value to renew your current AP (when due) or help to buy a NEW ticket or AP when you need one. And, that can be done even after the ticket has technically "expired."
