I understand that free dining means no room discount, paying the rack rate.

Is "rack rate" the highest room rate for the year, or the highest for the (value, regular, peak) season?

I am confused.

Rack rate means the regular price for the room at that time. No discount. Think of it as the MSRP. A product will have a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP). Often the actual price will be less, especially if it's on sale. Rack rate would be like paying MSRP for the room for that season.

I know this is great news for some people. Congrats to all who will be able to take advantage of this excellent deal!

Maybe someday Disney will give that deal to us DVC'ers.
