We have a rather large group heading to Disney this fall on November 18th. I noticed that the free dining blackout dates starts on the 20th. Would it be worth it for me to try and call them to see if they can cut us a deal for free dining? We are staying at Carribean Beach and we have about 13 people going. The savings would be substantial. Does anybody know they might be willing to give us partial free dining or possibly even for our whole stay since we arrive before the blackout dates?

Thank you in advance!!

actually now I see that if we arrived on the 17th we would be elligible. Ugh how depressing to miss this by 1 day. 13 people would of meant a huge savings. Is Disney pretty strict about this stuff? Is there any chance they might cut me a break if I call?

I don't know what site you are getting your info from, but the last eligible date to get free dining is Nov. 17 and then it starts back up again on Nov. 26

This info is found here...

If you can change your arrival date to the 17th and they still have availability under the promotion then you could get free dining for your entire stay. I would say the chances this late are slim, but ya never know.

I can say for CERTAIN that there is ZERO leeway when it comes to dates. They are very strict, so if you must check in on the 18th then you are out of luck. Sorry.

BTW, :welcome: to the Disboards!

ETA: I guess you were typing your 2nd post while I was typing my post. LOL!

I would change the arrival date to the 17th and make sure some of your party can change travel arrangements to arrive then. I would also be flexible about changing hotels if needed to get the free dining. I've had free dining and it is a lot of fun. And really really good for the budget.

They will not change the date for you. If you can bump up your trip and they still have any rooms left with free dinning it would be a big savings. For my family of 5 it is over $1500 . We were a party of 12 last year with free dinning it was great. At this late of a date you may have to split up at different resorts to get free dinning.
