Free Dining Plan Pin Code?

Hi everyone,
My family is trying to arrange a WDW trip for August and I know that's when they usually have the free dinining plan.

Well, I found out that at this moment they only have the free dining plan through a pin code.

Can anyone use these pin codes? Like say, a person receives a code in their e-mail and they can't use it. Can they pass it on to their friend?

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Not unless the persons are in the same household. PIN codes cannot be passed around.

There is/was free dining for dates in August 2011 but the promotion was running last year and needed to be booked by December 20, 2010. There is a Free Dining Watch 2011 thread monitoring if a free dining promotion will be re-opened.

PIN codes are not transferable. They can be used only by the person who receives them.
