Saw this on Mousesavers:

"Coming soon - FREE dining plan when you buy a 5-night or longer Walt Disney World vacation package, valid for check-ins 8/21/05-10/4/05! Check back here tomorrow for details!"

Check out http://www.mousesavers.com 6/2/2005 for more information.

I got this deal already for September - my TA got it for me!!! :cool1: I booked yesterday when my TA called me and filled me in on the special :sunny:

We arrive on 10/7. We were going to buy APs, but this may be a more attractive deal (a bit more expensive, but more fun!). I'll wait to do the math when I see if they'll offer it for our dates....

OK, here's my situation. We stayed last year with park hoppers and didn't use all of the days. Our plan is to go back in September for a week and do Night of Joy and use our ONE theme park day hopping until we drop, plus our 3 waterpark days. Does this deal sound like we could buy theme park admissions for ONE day (for all of us) plus our hotel stay? Would that make it a package? Make sense???

Thanks!

Anita

Bambilady give us specific about how much you saved. I was just about to do everything separate b/c I was getting such a great deal on a resort, but I do not know if it would be better because of the dining option being free. DH is a hearty eater and very interested in sampling Disney's cuisine. I also have 2DD (5,2) 2yr would be free anyway and 5 yr a good eater. Can you give me some info so I can research today and when it comes out tommorrow I will be prepared to jump on it right away? Thanks

Oh Wow! Does this sound tempting. ::yes::

DH and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on September 6. This sounds like a GREAT anniversary trip! :teeth:

Man! This is the year of Disney for me...I bought an AP and the DDE card...they keep coming out with item after item of deals to make mine not as cost effective as it could've been. Gotta say this does make sense for them since September is such a dead month...if you can get someone to pay rack rate for a package with all-you-care-to-eat why not? I hope they do it next year when I won't have an AP...I wouldn't mind being able to experience Disney's pricier restaurants by staying in a value or moderate for a few days.

First off, you can apply the code to an exisiting ressie, and things are booking up already on the news of a code coming. I would book now and then apply the code tomorrow (actually that is what I just did :cool1: )

The dining plan costs $35 a day adult and your 5 yo would be $10. So that is $80 a day. It's real value to you is what you would have spent on food. For us that is about $100 a day on average so the free dining code is worth more than the AP room discount even on the deluxe (AP discount is $70 a night) for Mod's and values it is a no brainer unless you hate sit down meals in WDW (I know someone who thinks they are a waste of time :confused3 )

Is this something any travel agent can take advantage of or would I have to go through someone else?

I ask this because my trip is actually going to be finalized in the next few hours, and when I told her about the site and all she knew nothing about this, but if I can get her more info let her know. I can wait less than 24 hours to take advantage of this!!!!!!!

Yes it is. keep an eye on mousesavers.com for all the info tomorrow morning

September is a 'dead' month

also, I cant imagine the dining plan being that cost effective during the Food and Wine Festival????

Ugh- 2 weeks too early for me too! :< This gives me some hope about Disney offering incentives though.

Thanks HaleyB

You are right, I don't know what I was thinking (not thinking LOL) but it is a better deal b/c DH and I had already decided we wanted to make this trip different than the last and eating was going to be different (last time we skipped several meals). The deal is on cost of what I would have spent with the dining plan. Looks like we will be saving anyway you slice it

Your welcome! I have spent a lot of time thinking about it the past few days because this is an extra trip for us and I need to sell DH on it being a great deal.

Last night he said "see, advertising works. We were not even thinking about a fall trip untill talk of the PIN codes started, now you want to go even w/o a code."

I just IMed him about tomorrows code and he asked if we were going twice a year from now on, or if this was a one time thing. Silly man. This will be our 3rd trip in a year, he forgot to count July in Disneyland :rotfl:

OH MAN!! I just called that would have been awesome! They told me I had to have had an email with a code in it to get this. Is that truw or is there another way to get it! Thanks

Word is it is not suppose to happen until tommorrow 6/2. That is why CM would not let you get it. I made my ressie today and I will call tomorrow to upgrade to dining if they let me, if not I will book a new one and cancel the old one. So check back tomorrow.

It's true, it's good for anyone but not until tomorrow. I'd check Mousesavers for the info first thing in the morning on 6/2/2005 and then call CRO at 7 a.m. EST to get the reservation. Expect to spend some time waiting on the phone.

It's something of a pity that we already have APs -- this discount seems better than the AP room only discount!
