Free Dining Offers?

Has the free dining offer been released? I have had some difficulty making making reservations for our August trip and the CM referenced free dining beginning August 20th.

I can't locate any information....has free dining been announced? Is there a code to accompany it?

Thanks for any help you may provide, it is much appreciated.

Free dining has not been announced for August. People who stayed in a Disney resort last year had an option of booking free dining as a bounce back offer beginning Aug. 20th 2014. That's probably what the cm was referring to.

There have been no general public offers for free dining anytime in 2014 yet. The only offers have been bouncebacks, PINs and British resident offers.

There was a bb offer for Aug. 2013 as well (people who stayed at a DW resort from Aug. 2012 until sometime that fall were able to book this) but free dining was not offered to the general public in Aug. 2013. So I'm predicting that no fd offer will be available to the general public this year, but only time will tell.

Oh I see. Well although I think August will be a no-go, I think there still may be a chance of fd for September-December. I think it was July of last year, when fd dates were released.

Wouldn't worry too much yet. Every year people predict there will be no free dining. Every year SO FAR they have been wrong. Although dates do get more and more limited, so who knows one year they might be right. Only time will tell. Good luck!!!!

How can we even try to answer that?

If it's the same as last year, if your check-in date falls in those 4 days between offers, then you won't get it at all unless you have 2 reservations or change your arrival. But there's no way for us to know if it will be the same as last year or not.

There's absolutely no way of knowing whether you'll qualify or not. It depends on the dates for FD, your dates, your resort and room category being included, and if there is availability when you call. Just keep an eye on this board to see what is offered and hope for the best.

UK offers are very different so they cannot be used as an indicator of what will be offered in the US. Glad you got FD, however.

As long as you check in on a day when free dining is offered, you can get it for up to two weeks. So yes, if you checked in on the 20th but the promotion ended on the 22nd, you would be able to get it until the 27th.

Highly doubtful for August, but still a possibility for September. That's the way I see it.

DVC reservations are not eligible for free dining. For DVC, you can add dining up to 48 hours before arrival, but there's really no reason to wait.
