I just logged into my acct tonight and a pop up popped up telling me to customize my bands. I can do online check in in 2 days.

By the way, you guys have been chatty Cathies today. Jeesh. I go to one small, local amusement park and everyone is having a good time here without me!

DH is blue, DS is green, DD is pink, and I am red. So excited!!

That is a HUGE plus for me actually. I find it reassuring that all their info is there one wonders off. I'm wondering if I should put a cell phone number right on the band instead of a name in case someone might get to my kids before a cast member! Hey, you can't get a lost kid back to his or her mama fast enough!

I had those silicone bands made with our cell numbers on them for that very unlikely just in case moment. Unfortunately it is the tiniest bit too big, but ill just slip it on his ankle, with his sneakers it will be just fine.

Hey! We had early release yesterday so I didn't have to wait long. Lol. I had my app open in the carpool line. Baaaaa. I am obsessed. Lol. DS 13 chose orange, DS 10 chose yellow, Dd chose pink which is very shocking since she is usual anti pink. Lol. I got green and DH chose blue. So colorful! Now to wait. When do you normally get your ME packet.

That's the word on the other threads, no MB's for little ones. I totally understand the issue with this. I had to purchase a mug for my little one last trip. The problem being that during the test the MB are not available for purchase and when they are, the estimated cost is at least $100, if not more. I think this area is a big fail for Disney. They don't seem understand what parents go through when it comes to things like this. The other thing I am happy about with the MB is if my kids get lost all their info and mine is on those bands. Huge + for me but don't think it should be any different for the under 3 crowd.

They should let them have a "dummy" one with no info but at least so they have the bracelet. That wouldn't fly if my little one would not have gotten one and her big brothers did.

I do like that my info is on the band if my kid gets lost! Parents worst fear!
I hope they sell something that looks like a band then, a "dummy" non-magic band or something, for the younger crowd. DD will be 2.5 so old enough to know she is missing something! But certainly won't pay $100 for it! Would be nice to have info on it though!

Actually, I think what those people meant was what you do (although everything I've read says you are right on) IS cheating the system. They are under the impression that you should pull a FP for you, your 6 y/o, and your hubby. Not just your hubby and your 6 y/o. It all goes back to the misinformation out there. When even the CM's don't agree (each camp said they were doing what a CM instructed them to) then how are we supposed to? It was kinda funny to read but then the name calling started so I just went another thread. The thing is with FP+, you could technically get double the fast passes with rider swap. You can only schedule a certain amount and if you do it as you stated (the way most people understand it to work) then you could swap your way through 6 rides instead if the allowed 3. I think that's why the debate started. Craziness. We all just wanna have fun,

I don't understand thread hostility over this stuff. Lol

Just be careful with your shoe choice. I have seen CMs ask for shoes to be removed if they look like they are trying to boost height. Happens a lot. Hopefully a growth spurt is coming soon!

I remember a friend telling me that when she was little her mom out granola bars in her brothers shoes because he was very small for his age. Baaaaa

I'm getting bummed out over here. We didn't get FD bc our week was blacked out, we didn't get a ro discount bc we're at POR and the increase in the ticket cost negated the small discount, and we bought travelocity tickets so I can't link them to do fastpass+ or magicbands (if anyone knows how, please let me know...I've been trying for weeks and have called Disney many times with hopes that one CM will pick up who can help me). I would refund the travelocity tix in a heartbeat, but they are non-refundable. I keep trying to remind myself that I am still going to Disneyworld.

EDIT: Finally! After hanging up the phone with Disney tech support and AGAIN being told by a CM that I couldn't do magic bands or fastpass bc I couldn't get our travelocity tix to link, I figured I'd just mess around with it again. I went in and did the modify on-line check in thing and voila!...it showed up...YIPPEE!!...WOOHOO!!! I was able to customize colors for all of us...and, yes, my DD also wanted purple. However, I'm so thrilled to finally have them I'd been happy with gray! ....Now if I could only get FASTPASS to work.... It keeps showing the same thing I read about others seeing...."We're sorry. The selected date must be within at least one party member's FastPass+ selection window." Anyone know how to get it to work???

I did online (60 days out) on Monday. No pop-up option available. If I try to link my reservation it says it belongs to me....well duh!?

And people think rider swap is an abuse?!?

That is what I unsuccessfully was trying to inquire about yesterday. I was confused about what people were arguing about???There seems nothing to argue over? Do some think using the rider switch and FP the same day for the same ride is an abuse??? Being they are two different things, I do not see the problem. Or, were some confused CM's letting rider switch folks go through FP line for both parties??? Someone please help me understand what the big deal was/is? Threads with arguing scare me

Ok, I am Totally new to this. I need advice on what to do. I am in Florida resident with the weekday pass, and would like to stay at Disney resort with free meal plan. I need advice on how to do this for the best possible deal. I am available to go at almost any time, And would love to go when the parks not busy.
