Now it's y'all's turn to help me. Haha

Here's the deal. I'm planning to book a bounceback and surprise a very special someone with a trip to Disney. This person has survived cancer for the third time, all by the age of 33. This will be a special trip for her as I am taking her as her "I got well" gift.

I'm looking for clues I can give her between now and when I return. Something she won't be able to guess, but will occupy her mind. Clues that could be many different places but will all make sense when I give her a postcard saying "we're going to Disney world".

Any ideas?

Hmm, 2 quarters and a penny (for the pressed pennies)? Walking shoes, sunglasses, pen (for autographs)...

How about, every month, take her to a restaurant that would represent each country at Epcot. Then African restaurants for animal kingdom, etc. you should start a thread and document your adventure!

Well I go to Disney in three weeks and will tell her when I return. So I just need some things for the meantime. And maybe I leave something at her house when I leave and let her find it.

I am having the same problem. Where is this box to check? I can't find it. I also was offered free dining yesterday and my trip is paid off. I wonder how long it will take to show up on my credit card?

In terms of a Cinderella's Table ticket, I never saw it either. I thought I just missed it. It wound up on my credit card.

I called this morning and the CM said that for the ones that require pre-pay, you have to call to get it linked to your dining plan. She tried to re-book me and remove the existing one, but there was no availability. Since I wanted to keep it, she transferred me to Guest Services and that person made it happen. I got a new confirmation code and they are crediting my card.

Both were polite, and I was pleased that the first CM stayed with me until she got me with another person (put me on hold at times, but would check back in on progress) and then turned me over, not just dumping me in some other hold queue.

I love this. I could give her a pouch before I leave and tell her not to open it until the next day. Or a few envelopes with dates and a clue in each. Like the quarters and penny in one is great.

I would get her a golf ball (silver if possible), a plant, a sandcastle statue (to throw her off a bit) and a blue (cone) party hat. :goodvibes

That sounds good.

She knows there's a trip coming but I keep her confused. Like the other day I said we may need a passport. Referring to the Epcot passport of course. I like to keep her guessing.

The reveal will be a postcard with all the details and dates saying we're going to Disney world. And I'm going to get a pin from city hall with something on it like "survivor" or something like that.

Mail her a coconut from CBR....when you get closer to the reveal

Where are you staying?
I love smitch's ideas. If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, they usually have sand castles as ornaments in the Christmas section. If not, you can do a birthday candle for Wishes.

Hoping I can get CSR for next year as well.

Ok so what you guys got me thinking is to do ten items with each one in a brown paper bag. Then give her a box with the bags in them.

Ten items would be perfect and I would tell her to open one each day.

Here's what I got so far. I'm thinking most or all of these may be able to get at a dollar tree.

1. Golf ball
2. Party hat
3. Plant
4. Sandcastle or something along those lines
5. Sunglasses
6. Two quarters and a penny
7. Ink pen
8. Pancho
9. Bubbles
10.

How about a poncho?

A package of water flavoring.

Flip Flops

Last box---mickey balloon (you can buy it flat then put in a 'coupon' to get it blown up, or get it blown up and put it in a really big box so it floats out)

A empty photo book or frame

rice crispy treats

moleskin

What about a small memo pad after the ink pen? You could probably get one without lines on it at the dollar store as well.

Oh I like. Not sure where to get a sandcastle but I can improvise. .

you could probably get a small one at a pet store, like to put in a fish tank. you could probably pick up a pirate skeleton and a mermaid there too. :thumbsup2

ooh, ooh.....

it would take a bit of work, but, turn a park map (or a resort map) into a puzzle, then give her random puzzle pieces until she has enough to assemble and make a guess.
