Yes, that was my concern as well. There are two prongs that snap in two holes and I can see how it could get caught on something and snap off.

One interesting thing is that they are two sized. The outer grey area is for bigger sizes and the colored area can snap apart from the grey making a child sized band.

They could have at least made a slip band like on a watch. I feel like I'm going to be constantly checking everyone's wrists.

On a side note. I may go with a red band and get a Minnie slider.

North Carolina here - sadly, unless you're a lot older than I think you are, I am probably too old for your brother. I've been a widow since I was 32 - and that was back in 1984 (do the math - lol).

The school system around here (Raleigh, NC area) have a policy that if you miss more than 4 days during a 9-week grading period, you will automatically get an 'F' for that 9 weeks regardless of your GPA unless ALL of your absences are excused (i.e. doctor's notes and/or pre-approved other reasons). My son & his family would have loved to come with us (DD & her family + me) this year, but they'd have to take the kids out of school at least 2 days. As long as my older DGS didn't get sick during that grading pd, he'd be okay, but if he did ... am very disappointed that they won't be able to be there, but hopefully we'll be able to arrange something so we can all go sometime.

We do not tell them anymore. It makes no difference anyway. We still get the same warning letter and the teachers do not bother to give the work out ahead.

We will only miss 4 days due to veterans day anyway

We have to fill out a form and get the trip okd from the principal to make it an excused absense.

Hmm, well he'd fit my criteria of being closer to my age than to my kids' ages anyway. They're both in their 30s.

I agree! School system in Panama City, FL started that stupid absence policy several years ago. Their "good reason" was that it would help improve attendance and reduce the drop out rate. (Real reason is more like they lose $$ when kids aren't in school.) The result was that the kids who were at risk for dropping out would go ahead and drop out if they had too many absences as they were going to fail anyway. The rest of the kids would come to school even when sick because they didn't want to risk their grades ... and they wonder why they had an increase in epidemics in the schools~ They also changed the way they calculated the drop out rate after instituting that policy so the numbers would show what they wanted them to instead of showing reality.

I agree! Maybe those sliders or covers will help keep from losing them??? I went with red too for a possible Minnie theme

No, it is 1 TS credit per person. We like it- the food is good, basic, non-exotic comfort food, and the entertainment is fun.

There's a few YouTube videos of people demo-ing the accessories. I though the same about the sliders till I watched the videos. Technically you could put it on there for that use but it wouldn't be in the spot it's supposed to be. I think the only thing that will give additional security are the sleeves.
